Default TSP402/ETP215/G5X4.....#'s

Hey guys, I got the new setup tuned today and although the shortblock only has 250 miles on it, I had to get it tuned to break it in the way I wanted to....hard!

Anyways...a couple of footnotes about the numbers. Number 1 the engine is still tight as it only has 250 miles, and number 2 is this particular dyno(Superflow WinDyn)has been 15whp/15wtq short of Dynojets in the area on many of my firends cars as well as my setups in the past. So my numbers could be as high as +15whp/15wtq, but I won't count on it.....

If someone can host the graph for me I'll e-mail to them as I do not have a hosting site. I'll give the specs/numbers real quick though.

TSP 402 -12cc Mahle/Callies crank/rods
ETP 215's @ 59cc with Cometic .040
G5X4 @ 111
SCR11.56/DCR8.67
LG LT's (no cats)
B&B PRT catback
Vararam/Fast 90(Veangeance ported)/LS2(home ported)
Meziere EWP
Textralia twin disc/stock 3.42 gears with shafts/brace etc...

The car made 510whp @ 6100-6350 rpm
497wtq @ 4700 rpm
AFR was left at 12.3:1 as I will be spraying the car every now and again and max timing was in the 23-24 range.

The graph is very broad and needless to say I'm happy with the numbers as I was "hoping" for 500whp on this dyno. At 3k rpm the wtq is approx 413 and it does not drop below 400wtq until 6500 rpm. The engine makes 500+whp from 5700rpm-6600rpm.....

Again I'm very happy with this setup as I was unsure of the flow capabilities of these 215's not to mention my cam selection...

Sounds like what I was going to do almost until I ended up not needing a 402 from SLP. Anyways that x4 on a 111 lsa is nice. Curious why you didn't go bigger, or at least custom. Your heads are the restriction on you setup. I was going to do a 402 with afr 205's and LG Motorsports said she'll make great torque but I won't see the max horsepower due to lack of airflow thru the heads. 225 cc or slightly bigger would be perfect. You'd definatly see another 25 rwhp. Anyways great setup and have fun with all the torque you are putting down. Don't know if you noticed but the custom cam that Louis did for me got me to 454 rwtq with only 346 ci. Can't wait to drive it on 5/9/07

I thought about going with a bigger head, but I had just purchased these heads and they flow so well for a small runner.....Not to mention they ar 11* heads so the runners are a little different from the conventional 15* stuff..

If you look at ETP's flow numbers they flow very similiar to the mammoth valved L92's...

The main reason I went with a G5X4 is I wanted a setup that had great power throughout, which this setup does...

track times soon....

I know what you are saying. When I was facing the need to get a 402 when I thought my 346 was DOA I was thinking damn I just bought these heads last year. Now I got to go out and get new ones. You won't be disappointed at all with your combo, I was just pointing out that the heads are going to hold back some of the peak numbers, and the g5x4 cam was originally designed to be used in a 346, why not go bigger and max out the 402's potential? I was looking at custom grind 240ish / 250 ish, big cam, big power. I am just glad my 346 came back to life. Saved me time and money to maybe come back down the road and do a turbo'd 402.

All I need for a boost motor is a cam and head swap....That is much later down the road though...

Good luck with you new setup..

Sounds like a winner. Enjoy your combo. Shoot some video and post it up. I'd love to see your car in action.

I need someone to host the graph for me.....Any takers?

SprayJunkie...this was done on Diablo's dyno, and I'm sure you know how stingy it is in comparison to Dynojets.....

Thanks for the thoughts guys....

What kind of fuel were you using?

And can't you just attach the file? Instead of having it hosted.

Open it in paint and reduce the size by cropping it. And than try to attach it again. Email me at orioll@bgallc.com if you can't.

Those are some great numbers and it's a combo I'd like to see copied with maybe TFS 225 heads or ETP 225 for the 4" bore. That'd probably be worth a good 10-15rwhp over the 215s.

Thanks for the replies you guys...I do plan on redynoing on a Dynojet once the engine breaks in a little more...

Let me tell you that I'm extremely pleased with the package as it just simply moves over my 470whp/420wtq h/c setup....

I'll let you guys know how it does on a DJ...

Thanks bro...

I hope to redyno eventually on a Dynojet to get some true comparative numbers as the Superflow at Diablo is notorious for reading low....
