Default LS6+TRAK cam+4L60 N/A & 50 shot

Well finally got to dyno my 3rd gen...
i put it on the rollers about 20 minutes after driving it...so still alittle hot,and it was in the 90's today.
All results were on a UNLOCKED converter and dynoed in second gear.

N/A results were ....
360hp/360tq

and i also accuired jets for a 50 shot, so i sprayed it for the hell of it...
388hp/415tq

Ran the car at the local 1/8 mile the previous night, and the best it went due to lack of track prep was a 7.34 @ 94mph 1.65 60ft.

From what i understand there is about a 30hp difference if you can get your converter to lock up on the dyno...is this true? If so what do you guys think of the results?
I will post the graph alittle later....
-Chris

because in third gear it just kick down to 2nd anyway...
the guys at the dyno at rpm suggested it. It seemed alittle weird to me, but i havent ever dynoed an auto myself, and didnt know how exactly it needed to be done.

you either have to get to higher speed so its too fast for second or get efi live or hp tuners and lock it in 3rd..xxx motorsports is your friend lol..

id have stayed in it in 2nd and let it shift to third and completed a pull in third.
the graph would have a spike here and there, but youd have a true reading compareable to the rest of the field.
you did it at RPM?
ive heard SEVERAL people there that they WANT them to dyno in second. they dont want hi mph runs on their dyno.
"unsafe."
few people on another local board have dynoed there. this is where i get my info.

Those times would equate to 11.5s at around 117 mph. Not bad, but still not all it should have in it if you ask me.

I would have to agree with you on this one.
I think it should be quite a bit faster myself.
I only have a little street tune in it from when it was running like complete ***.
(burnt spark plug wire..only 7 cylinders) and slipping tranny.
So i will have the tune finished up when i get back from Kuwait. Then see what it does.

I think it will run damn good when the tune is finished and you get the traction on a good track. based off of your 1/8 mile mph, it is running great.
Nice car too.

Hey Chris,

Teresa's car traps about that in the 8th and she goes around 11.50's @117/8 mph and she dyno's around 430 locked. She also has a hell of a lot more parts than you do, lol...

BTW what does your car weigh?

Hey Duane,
I guess i just expect alot out of the car....and i know for a fact it has more in it.
The car tipped the scales at 3150...1/4 gas, full interior.
I have two race up front now that saved me 35lbs. But i also put zr1's on the car since then with 11's in back. I think they are alittle heavyier.
3150 should be about what it is right now give or take a few.

I just weighed T's car in race trim(car only) with about 4 gallons of gas in it...3440. She is about a buck twenty, lol.
