The graph below is without the Ti Catback after final Tuning(Customer has ordered dual cutouts and wanted to know the power without the catback)

We decided to verify our dyno against another local dyno about 45 minutes away. The car was driven to the dyno/strapped down/and made the #s below. No cool down/ no tricks.... This dyno is known in the area to be VERY accurate/if not low at times.. It operates off of WinPep 6.03 Vs our WinPep 7

Pardon the dip in the graph above. I was driving the car and the dyno operator was controlling the sampling button. I let off the gas @ 6500 and he didnt quit sampling till a second or so later.... Im quite confident we could have picked up another 8 or 10rwhp/rwtq with a 10 minute cool down as the car was EXTREMELY hot after being driven 45 minutes in 90* weather

The graph below represents the engine through the Z06 Ti Catback Vs X pipe. Customer is ordering DMH dual cutouts and wants to see the gains through the free flowing exhaust...

I have several other graphs I will post if I can get time... Heads/Cam Vs 440... Modified LS7 Vs 440.. Stock Z06 Vs 440 etc etc.... I think our customer will be quite happy with his #s and Im sure he will get it to the track in due time.. Its hot as heck in Georgia right now so i wouldnt count on it for a few months!!!

Through Cats as well? I just noticed that. Very nice.

American Racing headers with a full 3" Borla exhaust would help push those numbers even higher. Either way, nice combo.

What's the price on this exact engine combo? PM if you don't wish to disclose. Thanks.

I HIGHLY doubt the ARH headers would produce any higher #s than what this combo has already made.. The ARH Vs Kooks header fiasco is nothing more than speculation at this point... We have used Kooks for YEARS with GREAT success. They fit well and make excellent power...

FWIW, we did have one customer who ran ARH Longtubes on a 416 and the Y pipe choked the #s from 550 to 496..... Seems their Y pipe is a bit restrictive compared to others out there....

Just to be fair... If the guys @ ARH read this we will be glad to swap the headers and even retune if needed to see if in fact their product will make more power... Send us the headers

NOW, back on topic

But that was with a Y-Pipe. I'd expect it to choke it down unless it merged into a single 4" pipe on something like this.

Wasn't trying to be an ***, but I've seen the catted ARH make more than the catted Kooks. Not a huge amount, but it's there. At this level, I'd figure removing the cats from any system would be worth a solid 10rwhp.

The 609 is without the catback.

Nice results any way you look at it though.

While the z06 catback does flow well it is the 2.5 inch pipe that feeds it holding the system back. As a rule of thumb I use the following diagram to estimate pipe sizes based on engine and horsepower.

As you can see the 427 making 500 hp would require dual 3 inch exhaust, and with 600 hp it would need almost dual 3.5 inch. That is the problem with the Z06 catback. Now I know LG makes some adapters that bolt to their exhaust to allow a 3 inch catback. They are found under the C6 section and someone would have to fab a catback for a C5 to make it work.

I'm not the most tech savy person on LS1tech, so I'll just ask a stupid question. How would an aftermarket MAF affect this car (not just in terms of dyno numbers) and why?

IM CALLING B/S I WANT FUEL SAMPLES NOW.

RON, you sure are getting good with that photoshop!!

HAHA J/K Those are awsome numbers. I cant wait until we get another Weber/Trickflow/Vengeance combo out there. Problem with our guys is they run through autos that dont make big dyno numbers but really kick a$$ at the track!!

Dont worry brother... The track is where it is at... Unfortunately we just have a lot of street racers around here that dont hit the track as often as we would like.
