Default Tuned the 00' SS yesterday - cam + 150 shot...

Well, it finally got tuned. Conditions were less than optimal (it was hotter than Haites) but overall I am happy with the results.

2000 Camaro SS AUTO- stock trans.

Mods:
stock shortblock/heads
TSP 228R cam
LS6 intake
Professional products 80mm TB
LID
SLP UD pully
SLP Longtubes + Blowmaster muff
Iridium plugs
3.42's
HSW 150 Wet shot

Off the bottle with a fairly conservative tune:

THIS WAS ON A MUSTANG DYNO CALIBRATED FOR DYNOJET #'S. But according to Pete @wide open throttle it is still a tad low.
362rwhp/347rwtq (-4 degrees timing, safe for spray- AFR about 12.7 all the way)
Spray :
492rwhp/511rwtq (AFR about 11.9 all the way thru)

1st pass on spary was the best but was a test. That was where I saw the best #'s on 1000 psi of bottle press. We did another run not 2 minutes after (actual run) with coolant temps at around 210 deg. and saw 490rwhp/498rwtq.

We also did a 1/4 pass on the dyno N/A and saw 12.80 @ 113mph.
I am happy, now I can spank those pesky BMW M6's no prob!

Very nice numbers! That car should crush the 1/4.

Good numbers. I'm sure the heat impacted your numbers a little.

A cutout would really help

Yeah...I'll prolly go with an electric cutout here shortly since I already have a reg cutout not yet installed.

The heat was pretty bad....about 90-100 degrees....but I figure that's fine because I'm shipping the car to Hawaii here shortly where it's around 80-85 most of the time.

Next thing to do is order myself some TFS heads and some higher lift rockers...but that's in the future. Probably a year from now or so.

I guess 492rwhp and 511 rwtq will have to keep me happy until then! LOL.

Thanks for the input guys.

I'll try to post some pics of the setup asap.

Was the mustang dyno altered using reduced load on rollers or was it done via a change in correction?

Converter and trans 100% stock. For now. LOL.

Prolly go with a Vigilante 2800 and leave the rest stock for the time being, considering that it only has 15,500mi. on it.

As far as the Mustang Dyno, I think it was a cahnge in the correction factors. I think Pete said he had his buddy go over and Dyno on a Dynojet and he came back with the #'s. Then they adjusted either the load or the correction factors (really not sure) to get the Mustang Dyno in the ballpark of the Dynojet.

I am going to Dyno this thing again next month...I just have to see over 500rwhp from it. I am going to install a Bottle heater and a cutout before then.

I'll keep everyone posted.
