He doesn't have milled heads..... The cam he has isnt even close to causing PtV issues...

Oh it wouldn;t be hard to have PtV problems with that cam. a tiny bit of valve loft and whamo you right there. 1 it explains the valvetrain noise 2 it explians the mysterious knock retard and low power numbers.

1. LS1's are NOISY in the valve train department, especially when using a cam with XE-R lobes.

2. That "mysterious knock" could be a lot of things, hell it could be from his exhaust banging around.

3. The low power is the tune and not having an LS6 intake. The LS1 intake and big cams = no no. That cam makes the majority of its power up top where the LS1 intake DOES NOT flow well compared to the LS6 intake.

Please, keep being 'curious' and stop spreading your ridiculous mis-information.

What qualifications and experience do you have to make these assertions?. I just measured a similar cam with unmilled heads not a week ago and it was in straight up and it had .020 of Ptv. Advancing that cam a few degrees would have removed some PtV.

Check your setup and be careful. You can TDC #1 pull the rocker arm and spring and put a checker spring in and see where your at. nothing complex.

those are badass cam specs. Its dying for a set of heads and intake mani.

Get some trickflow 215's and watch you gain 80+rwhp with that cam. LS6 intake will work fast 90 will be better.

i made 340hp 377tq with a nitrous tune (-6 degrees). i have full bolt ons and crane 224 .551 114lsa single pattern cam. i thought those were good numbers add maybe 20 to each with good n/a tune. just bolt-ons besides cam, and sounds totally stock. i love it hope you like yours too!!!

btw- 507hp 619tq on a wet 150 plate. untuned (besides timing) so you should really run great on bottle!!! good luck with first gear!!!
