finally got the new motor dynoed this weekend. well lets start with the weaher it was 98 out while they were tuning it, which didnt help much. after they got it on the dyno it put down 441 rwhp and 411 rwtq. the power curve showed that there was something wrong because it would just drop power (should have gotten a print out but it was ugly as hell) they said that in there opinion that the trans mission was slipping and that it might go out. he said that if the trans would not slip that he would expect to see about 460+rwhp and 430+rwtq. well i started to drive back home and about 15 miles from the shop the trans went out. So now im having the trans rebuilt and hopeing to get it back on the dyno to see if i could hit those numbers. but im still not upset with the power that it put down expecially being an automatic car.

well talked to the guys at the shop on how to get the car to 500 rwhp n/a. they said that the only thing that i could do is switch my intake to a fast 90/90 set up, slp 85mm maf and try to find a 85mm air lid. they also said that i could switch out my headers to some 1 7/8 headers and that would help. so now its time to save some money again.

I was going to say for a 408 a4 your numbers look low. I'll bet you do better then 460 rwhp and 430 rwtq after you correct your transmission issues.
Can you give some specs on the ls6 heads please ?? I am surprised you don't have some AFR 225's or TFS 215's at least on a motor of that size.
Looking forward to an update of how your car is running with the new trans in place. If you go with a fast 90 make sure you get it ported. Totally worth it.

It is impossible for the 4" bore guys to beat the ETP LS7 style heads, and get the benifit of the LS7 manifold. (staying plastic)
You would then need a 90mm TB still, and going bigger on the lid MAF won't hurt anything.
If I were you and serious about 500 NA I will consider the LS7 heads, should be a solid 40CFM increase over what you have now.

This sounds like a very good option.
