Very nice

Thanks for the additional info. An overlay is more what I was hoping to see (just makes it plain as day obvious what's going on), but I appreciate the additional input none the less.

Anyone good with the computer that had some time could probably plot the curves but in quickly looking over the before and after at say every 1000 RPM's its pretty obvious the engine loved the new induction.

Good stuff....

Tony

Tony,

Glad the dyno sheets worked for you. LG didnt save any of the dyno pulls from the dyno day, so the seperate sheets were the best i could do.

I realize that running a small cam such as my 224 will not help to produce RWTQ, but i thought for sure the intake would push me over the 400rwtq mark. obviously i fell short.

I am open to any suggestions that you might have on where/how I can pickup more rwtq. I have already ordered an SLP UD pulley, and i do have a TSP 231/237 .598/.595 @ 112+2 lsa cam to install. my wish is to max out the 224 before stepping up. my goal has been to have a solid street car, and i feel i am there. just looking for the final little details to finish her off.

your thoughts?

Thats a loaded question....LOL

While certainly not under the heading "finer details", I feel obliged to say our 205's are just what the doc ordered (looking over your combination, your mods, and obviously addressing the torque you seek), BUT will be the first to tell you that the Patriot is a good head for the money. However, lots of air thru a small hole is what your in search of although Im sure you could nickel and dime your way across 400 RWTQ with your basic existing package (maybe even sneak it close to 410 TQ....who knows). The only issue there is would you have been 430+ RWTQ with all the same nickels and dimes including the addition of our 205 heads of course (and some additional top end RWHP as well).

Your's is the tale of many....you start with a set budget in mind and slowly get hooked the more mods you make. Then as the months go by (and your wallet starts to replenish itself) you start revisiting the parts you may have saved some money on early on in the project because watching the dyno needle crank a little further (and feeling that extra tingle in the buttmeter) after every additional mod is terribly addictive.

Give me a call at AFR when you have a chance....we can go over your entire package without this thread being turned into a big PM session.

Cheers,
Tony

That ported FAST and the AFR heads really like each other. I've got 'em both and very happy w/ the combo.

I am very happy too. A ported 90 Fast really made a difference for me when it came to running 200 mph. What can I say I am addicted to speed.

So where does the 432 number come in to play on the first graph compared to the 444 number. The way im reading it shows a gain of 12. Sounds about right.

With a flat line fuel curve its costing you some power but ill leave that alone for your tuner to find which most probably wont.

the 432 was the first run of the car after just the intake swap and the car not having the retune done. the 444 was the final numbers my car put out after being re-tuned the best the tuner could get out of the car...

if you click on the link in my sig, you will find a video biuld up of my car with the mods done and the numbers my car has put down at each step of the build up...my old numbers before the intake swap from the Ls6 intake and stock TB was 409/386...now its 444/395...

All the link in your signature points to is a youtube video of one of your dynos. I'm interested in your buildup as I'm about to buy a ported FAST.

I was kind of on the fence about porting a 90, but now I'm positive about doing it. I think it's gonna be worth every penny. I can't wait until this winter.

PM what it is exactly you'd like to know. If you click on my user name while in YouTube, it will bring up atleast 6-7 other video clips all with explinations of that I have done to the car each step of the way...
