Ah I see. And to that link you posted I am sure the difference you see on those new heads has to do with the increased deck of the Edelbrock heads. I was reading is it .750" thick. that would cause the bottom of the ports to show up more when the manifold is placed on. For a budget setup you are pretty much where you need to be on the hp and tq. I have seen a lot of setups do worse than your numbers depending on the application and parts selected.

Over all, I'm happy as I got what I was after. Great power under the curve and a fun daily driver that will pull hard up top.
Sounds like a blast!!!

I would not expect it to pick up much more beyond 10 hp from breaking in. I know my car gained 8 rwhp and 4 rwtq after about 1000 miles of driving it.

Ya, i figure about 7-15rwhp or so give or take... but TY also said he was questioning his valve springs so there might be some float which could be contributing to power loss too...

I figure around 4-5rwhp and 4-5rwtq after break in and then another 5-10rwhp/tq when it cools down.

Lol, hell ya man

So we can go down to the shop and get my master and slave from my car so we can test it out and see if thats what your issues are...

Im like 99.9 percent sure your hydrolic issues are from not doing the drill mod on your car... what year is your master in your car?

You have a 99 ls1 right? and is it aftermarket master or same stock one?

01+ have the better hydrolics too...

Alan, you boner you know I have an 01 with a newer master with less than 3k miles and a brand new slave. As far as not doing the drill mod, after I put it in I had my H/C done and I NEVER had a problem with the hydraulics like now. The only change with my hydraulics is my slave since then, so I'm going to bet its that.

ya from what i understand most everyone still uses him (in a good way, lol).

Its just hard to schedule a time with him cause hes always busy between work and tuning cars... he actually has a normal job and does the tuning on the side when hes able to, but great guy to deal with.

make sure your pedal is not adjusted to high. that can cause it to stick to the floor on hard shifts as well
