Default 384 Stroker dyno

11.5:1 compression
8.64 DCR
24 degrees of overlap @ 0.050

Mahle -6cc pistons
Eagle rods and crank
0.040 Cometics

62cc TSP Terminators 2.055/1.60 heads(200cc)
Cam - 239/248 .649 .615 110+2
Cleaned up FAST 90/90
1 3/4 QTP long tubes and 2.5" true duals with XR-1's
Melling lifters, PRC duals, 7.4 Chromoly pushrods, stock rockers
LS7 Clutch/LS2 flywheel, built T56 and stock 3.42 gears/10 bolt

Motor has 250 miles on it and in 110 degree heat outside it put down:
Peak RWHP was 471 @6400
Peak RW-Torque was 440 @4900

At 2.5k RPMs there is 350lbs/ft of torque and at 3k there is 385lbs/ft of torque. Its over 400rwtq from 3200 to 6100.
It carries Peak HP from 6400 to 6900 really nicely
Max timing was 21 degree's because of the heat and shitty 91 octane

I figure as I put some more miles on it and when it cools down I should pick up another 5-10rwhp and 5-10rwtq.
Not too bad for a budget minded, home built stroker.

I'm sure my exhaust is holding me back some with the amount of overlap I ended up with. I'm also sure the step up from the manifold into the intake is costing me some power as well. https://ls1tech.com/forums/generation-iii-internal-engine/618056-tsp-200cc-heads-fast-90-90-question.html

Over all, I'm happy as I got what I was after. Great power under the curve and a fun daily driver that will pull hard up top.

Maybe I missed it, is this engine dyno or at the tires?

With 8 degrees of split, I'd hope it likes a 200 shot

It would probably make a bunch more power with a larger runner head on there. Is that correct that the cc on the intake runners are 200cc? Looks like it makes awsome tq downstairs though.

I think you'd make a lot more power if she wasn't tuned for Nitrous and you had better gas (93 octane VS 91 octane) I'd be pretty happy with your preliminary results. The next set of numbers are only going to get better.

Nice results, got a graph? The peak #'s sound similar to a stock stroke 375" I have.

Whats the bore and stroke on this motor ??

I am contemplating having my 346 bored over a bit and a larger crank added plus forged internals so that she can fully take advantage of some boost via a D1SC. More cubes + boost = lots of power. BTW congrats on your results, I think I forgot to say so. Very good job doing it yourself. Says a lot about your mechanical abilities. I thought I was doing something when I got tired of waiting and installed my Hurst Shifter on my own. Works great, lucky me.

It's not tuned for nitrous, its tuned for the hellish AZ temps and 91 pump . I figure with some cooler weather, little bump in the timing, and some more break in miles the car should put down 485/450.

Thx for the props

Bad95,

Thanks man, It feels good to be back for sure! Now if I could only find out whats wrong with my hydraulics, I could fully enjoy it through all 4 gears

SSP Racing,

I do have a graph, but no way of scanning. Sorry dude

The bore is 3.905 and the stroke is 4.00. You could probably get a 384 kit like I got for around 2.5k if you piece things together as opposed to buying a whole kit. 384+D1SC would have a lot of power down low and pull like a freight train all through out!

Thanks again for the props man, but I can't take all of the credit. I had a lot of help from my brother Ryan(Mcduffys) and my Dad.

With your comment I assumed you pulled timing and left her a/f a little rich to handle a 200 shot. At any rate you did a great job and she'll only put down better numbers after she breaks in a bit more. Good luck.

You need a bigger intake runner on that engine. I bet the velocities with those heads are all off. I personally am running a Dart 205 on my 383 and made 487 rwhp 475 rwtq. I am even swapping out my heads as the out of the box Dart 205s are a restriction for the bigger cubed engine.

I'm sure I do. If anything, I can always send these heads to TSP to open them up a little bit. For now though, they will work just fine. This was a budget build, not an all out.
