Thumbs up

Typical for a Stock C6Z.

I didn't know that an '03 Viper could gain so much from just RR's and Filters; nice #'s. Especially the torque

its so sad the viper will get smoked on the street since its a fat pig even though you make a few more ponies. i really do like the new 600 viper though, even though i finished second place to the z in the rags. dont get me wrong though, im might just get one

So we're comparing a modded 8.3L V10 to a BONE STOCK 7.0L V8? Isn't that cute?

What did you think it should be? 505 at the crank, with 15% powertrain loss would be only 429 rwhp. If 15% is a close estimate, then 455 rwhp = 535 crank hp.

HOLY CRAP..It's just a good comparison dyno of two nice rides..

I have KN filters wich are worth 1-2 rwhp and 1.7 roller rockers wich are worth 5-7 rwhp..

He has his exhaust fuse pulled wich probally only gave him a little more tourque but probally little to no rwhp on the top sive the butterfly valve is open past 3500 rpm's anyways...

My 2003 SRT10 weighs 3380 pounds from the factory
His 2007 C6Z06 weighs 3190 pounds from the factory

Only a 190 pound weight differance

The reason people think Vipers are so much heavier is because the mags compared tohe 2006 COUPE Vipers 3440 pounds to the 2006 C6Z06's 3140 pounds..

In this case the C6Z06 is 300 pounds lighter..

But in my case my 2003 Viper is 3380 pounds and the 2007 c6Z06 is 3190 pounds..So not as bid of a differance at 190 pounds differance...

My Viper had a lot more torque but his C6Z06 has a lot more gear with his 3.42's vrs my 3.07's...

Were gonna have the race on video soon enough, so no reason to argue. I was just posting a positive dyno experiance that we had fun at.

the vetter would take the viper on the road since it weighs way less the viper is a PIG.

Uuhh The viper is lighter than our cars. How exactly is everyone calling it a pig, esp. when it makes 500ft lbs?

to the OP, BADASS, post the vid of the race would love to see it.

Guys don't underestimate the 03-up Viper. A buddy of mine ran 11.3s-11.4s at 122-123 mph on a good (not great) track day and the only mod was the K&N filters. It was his first time at the track and he doesn't powershift.

Put Ranger behind the wheel on a great track day and I'm pretty certain he could get the car to run very very low 11's.

People, it's clearly evident the viper weighs 8000 pounds and our cars weigh 2000, so we will win against any viper, ever. It's not even fair. So what if it makes more torque. I bet those numbers don't take into account the latest successor of the SAE correction factor, which is the LS1T correction factor.

Nice numbers for both! I figured roller rockers would yield more then 5-7rwhp. What other mods do you have planned?
