Default MS4 Cam only dyno numbers

Finally got her to the dyno to do some fine tuning and see where she's at. Mods are the following:
Lid
SLP Long tubes
3" dual exhaust w/ x-pipe/magnaflow 4x9's
LS6 intake
P&P TB
MS4 cam
3500 stall converter

Runs were done with an UNLOCKED converter. I'm very pleased considering no underdrive pulley and converter was unlocked. Made 390hp and 340tq.

You sure it was unlocked?

Nice numbers either way.

Whoever told you that graph was locked was lying to you. The converter was locked on that pull. Also, it's kind of standard operating procedure to post SAE numbers, not STD numbers.

Don't have the SAE numbers. I think it was like 385hp, wasn't much of a difference. How do you know it was locked? The first dyno run had it locked and the guy running my car/dyno thought it shifted and got off it right when he started the run. So he told my buddy who was scanning with hp tuners to unlock it, and he did.

Yeah, wanted to see where the motor made the best power, timing wise. Ended up at 27 degrees total timing. 29 dropped power, and 25 dropped power, so 26.5-27.0 is where it'll stay.

Also found out, his LC1 was reading about 1 pt low on the AFR. I tuned it to a 12.8-13.0, just to find out it was a 13.8-14.0

The converter has noticeable slippage, even up around 6500 rpm. That's what he means by 'run unlocked' - the torque converter lockup solenoid was disabled (it seemed to bother the dyno operator, and whatever - I wasn't worried about the exact numbers, just their relation to one another as I tuned)

Anyway, the car is a beast. It breaks loose under 60mph with a full throttle punch (even with about 500 lbs of people in it)

And as I'm fond of saying about it - IT JUST KEEPS PULLING!

Roger that, your car should look good in my mirrors if I ever run into you once I get my car back on the street.

torque numbers dont look too great, but what can u expect from an ms4. Must be a dog in lower rpm. Id think you would be able to hit higher numbers on a dyno with that cam, even if its an A4. Probably hit "normal" once its locked. Must sound NASTY!

Same thing I told him... his dynamic compression ratio is probably down until around 4400rpm

My guess is tq is low from loss of dynamic compression. But this is just one of the many stages this car will see.

Wrong. No hydraulic fluid coupling provides 100% transfer without a mechanical lockup.

The torque converter lockup solenoid was disabled completely on these runs.

Ran a 12.3 @ 112.5mph tonight, on street tires, with about 76 degree weather and 88% humidity, btw.

*edit* which equates to about 415rwhp with his heavy *** in it (I put you as 300lbs, 3439lbs curb weight)

WTF??? Without locking it mechanically, its gonna slip. Dont know what you mean there.

Unless you turned the solenoid off, its gonna lock on its own, and if you run it from a high enough speed it wont downshift, and wont kick the lockup off.
I run cars everyday. That run looks locked. Whether you're manually locking it or not, by the rpm it looks high enough to be locked automatically, and stay locked.
Furthermore, theres no hump in the torque band which would be there with an unlocked stall.
