Default dynoed ms4

just got the ms4 tuned and i am not happy! i have 853 heads and a ls1 intake. i know these are not the best heads and intake and trust me they arnt staying for long but a gain of 20 hp from this cam does not seem right.

dyno with stock cam. 340hp
dyno with ms4 cam. 363hp 343 tq

mods. Lt headers, z06 maf, slp lid, 4.11 gears,

Going to guess you're a 6spd? If so, yeah low numbers. Should be in the 380's at least.

not much info but I'll ASSume some shitty y-pipe, stock exhaust. Both are no no's and then throw in the fact that you're still on the stock ls1 intake? What did you expect buddy? A half *** setup and 400whp? Get real

i was not expecting 400 hp but at least 375-380 i have a off road y pipe and magnaflow exhaust. Im not an idiot, i just feel they are very low numbers for a 6 spd car. The car was taken up to 6800 and started falling off at 6500.

yes the car was running great before the cam. I the engine is building compression and is strong as hell, with only 79k miles. It feels about the same hp as it did before the cam. I had the same shop tune it that did my first tune.
I will not disclose who tuned it, but they are a very well known shop. Talked to jason@ tsp and he said he is willing to help me out and do a retune on my car, What a great guy!
sorry

You also have an 02 car, with an ls6 intake, better head design and better designed manifolds. Your comparison is nill.

Ls1 intakes don't hurt as much as most think. You should be higher with the ls1 intake. Hows fuel? Injectors? Spark? Many things to look at.

definitely something wrong with those numbers, get a cutout and try dynoing it somewhere else.
