I am actually very surprised at the number's put down with out of the box 225's on that little cam. I never would have thought the combo would have worked out as well as it did. Did you use the small bore 225's?
I think it's too much head for the motor but maybe I stand corrected. Like said before though I think some milled 205's would of made more power under the curve and better drivability. Good #'s none the less and the heads will allow more room to grow later if that is ever desired.
Typically a mild mannered stock cube ls2 car would not use a 225 head. Maybe the few extra cubes compared to an LS1 help make the 225's more feasable.
