Looks good Ron....

That was close to the same CR as stock to if I recall (I think we cut them to 65 cc's).

I would have also been curious to see a 205 on that combo....the SOTP (part throttle) would have been a little stronger and I dont think the power (peak) would have been much different.

Either way good to see before and after gains like that.

Regards,
Tony

Another great Vengeance combo. Nice power with AFRs too. Now all you need to do is make some killer power with ET heads to convince the world that it isn't necessarily the brand of cylinder head or cam that you choose, but rather the combination of parts working in harmony. Great combo.

We are quite happy with TFS/TEA/AFR heads.. If ET reads this and wants to send us something that would work well on a C5/C6 with say our Vindicator for a max effort package we will be more than happy to compare the 3.

I was definately impressed with the power/torque of this combo for such a mild camshaft/compression ratio.

Awesome result like always Ron great job with small cam and out of box AFR.

With bigger cam and milled heads do you think 490rwhp+ is possible????

i would say a hand finished 205 AFR heads ( keeping the intake/exhaust runners to minimum possible size) will make more power than the 225 AFR heads.

I agree....One of my lighty ported 205's with the chambers reworked like I have done for Pat G, 99BlancoSS, the 403 that laid down 557 RWHP, and a handful of others would have likely been the cat's *** on that mild combo. The tip in and throttle response would have been obviously improved with similar power and a bit more torque across the board (at least on paper).

However we cant lose sight of the fact the 225's obviously did there job and if the customer ever wants to go forced induction later or get more aggressive with the combo he obviously has a great head to do it with.

Nothing but good choices here....its a matter of selecting the right one to emphasize the part of the curve each individual is most interested in.

Regards,
Tony

Wink

Sick combo...I wonder too what the 205's would have done (just for comparison's sake). He did have awesome results with the 225's
