Just dyno'd a A4 01 Vert last night. The mods are H/C package from CDN perf which consists of set of Patriot Stage 2 LS6 heads-62cc, and CDN PERF STAGE 2 cam that specs out in the low 230's. The car drives very nice and has just enough lope to let you know somethings's up. The other mod was a Moser 9" with 4.30 gears, Racetronix 37lb injectors, SLP headers with cats and a Hooker Catback. No underdrive, ported TB, roller rockers or electirc water pump. I was impressed with the power it made through the 9". Here is the graph. SAE #'s show'd only 6 rwhp less-the shop that we used to dyno the car prefers to use STD #'s.

It makes very similar power to my M6 which has lower quality Patriot heads and a smaller cam, but you have the auto, so they seem to be on par. I'm unimpressed with the results I've seen from most Patriot heads. Sounds like you got what you were looking for, though. Congrats.

I see a lot of good results with the Patriots. With a conservative cam, a geared to the ground 9", catted exhaust with full cat back, I assume an LS6 intake, no ported throttle body, no under drive, or EWP; I say this is killer numbers. Props!

Gunnar those are locked #'s. I think the numbers are pretty good-full exhaust, cats, no underdrive, no ported TB. Not sure of the stall but it's pretty loose. Cam is on the low side of the 230's-doesn't lope hard-no bucking, no surging. Heads are only 62cc so compression is not too hi either. the most important thing to consider is that this through a 9" moser rear with 4.30 gears and a auto.
I've had pretty good luick with the Patriot LS6 heads-the "243" castings and there "317" heads as well. For the money there hard to beat-can't wait for the new PREDATOR castings.

Since you do a lot of drag racing I'll ask you this,
what kind of difference does having a solid axle like a 9" make in 1/4 times?
also, any clue how much he paid/how difficult the swap was?

The 9" will allow you to get to end of the track without puking your stock 10 bolt on the line-that's what it will allow you to do. So with a big stall, sticky tires-say hello to 1.4 sixty foots and low ET's.

Your answer makes me believe you're refering to an F-body, but his question is asking how you put a 9" in a c-5.

Great results, I'd say its an easy 450rwhp if the car was stick with a 10 bolt. 407 to the wheels is superb for a A4 car with zero tricks! Good job on the new LS6 castings Gunnar.
