Exclamation 1998 SS, Cam only, 125 shot plate system = WOW!

We performed yet another dyno run today on a customer's car as a checkup to make sure his car was running well with the new nitrous plate we added recently (We like to monitor the vehicles we work on once they leave the shop to maintain consistency)

The car has a big cam in the 23x range with stock ls1 heads and intake/exhaust- the usual. Fuel was 103 octane to prevent detonation and pick up some more power for the street.

The owner originally chose a 75 shot, but was ready to up it to a 125 (the plate) and with the 103 octane- BUT IT WAS NOT TUNED FOR 103OCTANE!!! It has a regular 93 octane tune, we even pulled timing for the nitrous which tells us and the owner that there is A LOT left on the table.

The final numbers produced were 517 HP/544 TRQ on our MUSTANG DYNO!!! That is the equivalent to almost 600trq on a dynojet! WOW.

Our conclusion: LS1s are amazing

Graphs Below:

If anyone is interested in our custom nitrous kits or tunes, feel free to call us ANYTIME!

And did I mention it has 103,000 miles and is a 98!!! I also think he has 4.10 gears, but I may be wrong about that. Even better if he does!

M6 are dyno queens

I have a similar set up, stalled A4 = 469 rwhp/548 rwtq on a 150 dry. I only picked up 116 rwhp which tells me that my nozzle placement isn't optimal.

He was using a nozzle which worked ok...BUT, the plate seems to deliver and help atomize the nitrous and fuel better. Plates are just better IN MY OPINION. Pus, they are easier to install for the average enthusiats!

Erik

PS-----where is your nozzle? maybe we could help!

Those are great results. Im hoping to make similar numbers maybe a litte less. I made 431hp and 555tq with bolt-ons and a 100 shot. Im adding a cam in the low 230s range, ls6 intake manifold and a ud pulley. So we'll see if i can have good results like you guys.

Congrats!

Hey Nate, good idea. Give it a try for sure. I will also be utilizing a dual stage plate system (I hope) in my set up.

Thanks a lot everyone for the compliments, the car is wicked!
