According to what I've heard so far (which isn't a whole lot yet), the Viper is trapping almost 130 right out of the dealership on the very few results that have been posted. You can't base how they are going to perform ET or trap wise on the first two or three guys to hit the track. You need to wait until a few decent drivers have taken them to the tracks and had a little practice with them. Give it a few months and I'm willing to bet we'll start seeing low 130s and low low 11s on street tires, well into the 10s on drag radials and slicks.

I don't see what it matters at all. If cars like this don't come from the factory then they'll just be moddified to this level and beyond anyway. Why not have it right off the showroom floor?

Speaking of autotrader and ebay, I think Nine Ball posted something up about his viper and was trying to make a point about the prices holding their value compared to corvettes. Anyways he posted a link of a ~93 RT/10 for sale for like $22,000 with only 5K miles.

Ive heard a few vipers, and i fell in love. Dont get me wrong i love my 1998 SS with LT"s and duals, not to mention the new z06, but my dad works for dodge and a viper was the first car that ive been over 140 mph in.....il always have a soft spot for a viper.

Yea exactly, it would probably come up with some bs dyno numbers for a baseline, then adjust them correctly for a modified pass, as usual.

If everyone can say that the Viper is handicapped by the gearing, then can I say that my car was handicapped from the factory because it didn't come with more hp? LOL
