If your car does sound so smooth have you ever thought that you got hosed and they accidentally sent you the wrong cam
.. As i said you cant hide a cam of that size w/o RPM.
.
Also bud i think you got sent the wrong cam
.. That might be the 224R that TSP sells bc its definitely not hitting a hard lick. I can hear a lil lick in there but the video is kinda hard to listen to the car. Can you pull it outside possibly?

i really think that there has to be some kinda cam in there. because right about 4k in second gear the car starts pulling hard and spinning the tires. not sure if thats normal for my mods, ive only had one other m6 and it had 4.10s in it and i cant remember if it did that. im really gonna have to try and track down this guy who owned it first and see what kind of info i can get from him. thanks for the feedback.

yea i would track him down..or shop who built motor, and demand cam card or reciepts!
if all else fails best bet would be to pull cam and see whats in there..or something alil easier would be to pull valve covers and see what springs are there or if it has titanium retainers, and hardend push rods....

ok. im in the middle of posting up the video outside to see if that helps. and i was gonna ask if you could tell if you pulled the valve covers. how would i be able to tell. im not all that familiar with the internals of and ls1 and what they are supposed to look like. i really would rather pull the cam, but there is no way i could afford that. unless someone on here wants to get to the bottom of this situation and hook me up
. haha. vid of the car outside should be up in a few minutes.

if you pull the valve covers the titianium retainers will look nice and shiny..they are rite on top of the valve springs.. they hold them on along with two lil locks that are in the middle hugging the valve. alot of valve springs have colord strips on them. and dual springs look nice and fat. if u can take some pics and show us we could be more of help

well since your taking off the valve covers id change them anways..but then again you motor has been rebuilt so they are probably fairly new. so maybe you can just leave them. they are rubber..and should stay snug to the valve cover. if they fall out then its probably a good idea to get new ones.
if everything does come down to its a stock cam. then i still wouldnt be to mad cuz those are pretty good numbers for a bolt on car. if u get long tubes it will defenatly pick up some more...and if there isnt a cam..well then maybe its time you got ur hands dirty and learned how to install one! i did my first cam install on my car. now ive down bout 5 or 6 of them on friends cars!

ok. here we go. first off, dont even ask me what the hell is on the intake, i have no idea. i plan on gettin an ls6 intake anyway. that was A LOT easier than i thought for my first time. i took as good of pics as i could. so im leaving them off till someone says they're good. cuz i dont want to take them back off and take some more.

hmmmm... well to my eyes, and from the pics..it does look possible that the springs are bigger then stock, and the retainers mite be titanium.
only thing that makes me not so sure is the retainers seem abit small, and the color of the springsl i see the springs have like a silver strip on them. ima see if i can find anything on witch spring that is. the more i look @ those retainers tho. i think they are the titanium ones.
