Default 98 a4 blues

I had the car dyno'd last week and the #'s seem low to me, corrected hp 303.5 tq 325.7. AFR was between 12.0@ 3600 and dropped to 11.5 from 4800-6200, they told me it was rich but how much power can 1 point cost you. Mods are slp long tubes, ls6 intake, air and egr delete, as well as torque management, self made lid, and tb bypass. Oh and a flowmaster 80 series muffler with the slp y and cats. I had the car tuned when i bought it to get rid of the tq management and he put in a "mild" performance tune in as well. He changed the timing and some other bs he said. Fuel milage is 17 mpg with mixed driving. The car has new plugs, air filter, fuel filter, and the clean mod. The air temp was ~ 50 deg when it was dyno'd and at sea level. My buddy with a 98 m6 tr224 '04 ls6 ran 398/390, but my car can hang with his(almost!). Sorry for the ramble but do the #'s seem correct and if so guess ill live with them. Also I have a 04 ls6 cam I thought about puttin in with 0 miles.

Needs to be around 12.8-13.0. At 11.5, you are losing some good power.

as in good power how much do you think, the car was thrown on the dyno and it was finished in 5 min so I dont know if the the converter has to be commanded on to be locked or not. It was a dyno day so I know they were not trying to get the best power just in and out, but if the converter was locked and the afr was good I would like to know where I stand cause I have a 91 LT1 camaro that seems a HELLAVA lot slower. I just dont think that the dyno numbers and the way the car runs seem to talk

for what you have I wouldnt complain. I had 298-303rwhp and running 12.3's all day.

Your tune is not optimal for the dyno numbers you listed. Dyno numbers are for... You have LT's- are they clamped, flanged, or welded?

What kind of Mph are you seeing in the 1/4?

Do you have a converter?

Im thinking the tune is junk as well, havent got it to the track but they said it was detonating on the dyno and pulling timng. I have scanned it with a tech 2 and there was no kr through the entire rpm's. dont know gues ill live with it. Thanks

Was that a dynojet? I made more than that with a lid/cutout in a 98 auto but it doesnt matter just make sure af is good and if it runs good dyno numbers arent ****

yea it was a dyno jet, I know there are a lot more factors when it comes to auto's so im gonna get a tune and redyno it an see if the numbers get better.

get the af on a better line. after that, if it is still showing no KR and running good then take it to the track. dont be so concerned with the dyno numbers.
