maybe 6800-7000. Discussed it with Erik and it's really incumbant on airflow and valve train stability. Also when the cam is done making power it doesnt need to go higher but I think it was said that 7k rpm isnt an issue. AT 6500 rpms things should be pretty well screaming is my guess.
I've seen a couple 440cid at 600+ but so I'm hoping to be there.
my guess is 590hp and 550tq

that should be a solid combo. i'll say 590-605 rwhp with 530-540 rwtq. what seems to be so sweet about the ls7 setups is they carry power past peak so well so even at 7-7,200k it will still be pulling hard.

That thing should be a beast!! I hope your not planning on spraying that thing too much?! I was kicking around the idea of going with a 4.185 stroke crank but my builder said I would have to stay N/A then. I want to spray mine. Let's see, your on a clutch car..............I'll go 582 RWHP and 534 RWT? Good luck with your build SSBlanco!! Traver

I havent got a guess on this, but for sure that thing will be unbelievable. I will definitely be checking in on this often, considering this will be the first build I have seen with the new ported LS7 castings. looks awesome.

Yea needless to say my nipples are perculating!! LMAO! Erik seems to really know his stuff. This isnt a knock on any other builder on here, but when you talk to the man your simply over whelmed by his knowledge. He doesnt openly advertise on here but if someone needs a build this is the guy to go to. He is the man that other shops bring their problems to; to find out what went wrong and how to fix it correctly. But that part of his business keeps him busy and from advertising on here so I'm putting in a plug for him.
Erik Koenig hkracingengines.com He is a sponsor, racer7088 is his screen name. You want it built right the first time this is the man to go to.
We're using Texas Speed and Scoggin Dicky for parts.
Ramair is going to love this one Race Engine Development (RED) is sleeving the LS2 block we're using. Brian at Scoggin's is getting my intake painted for me and I'm having the LS7 fuel rail either chromed or maybe a shiny nickel plating? Not sure, might need to launch a poll for the plating preference...lol I already have billet valve covers and a few polished covers on some stuff under the hood. Need a couple more though and Specialized Stainless on here will provide them. I drive it to hard on the street for it to be a show car but there is no reason it cant look good anyway.
The rest of the car is already built from my previous h/c, n2o combinations so this really is the final peice for my kickass street car. 99 Camaro SS that will hang and bang with any new Vette on the block.
(until the trans needs a Speed Secret overhaul)

I seriously doubt it will make 600rwhp. There hasn't been one person or shop make that much power with a big inch lsx motor. The highest I have seen posted on this site is 578rwhp with a considerably smaller motor. It seems like, bigger the cubes the shittier the dyno sheet gets. Good luck.

Kong you havent seen the 440 that Vengeance did then and there was another 454 that was over 600 as well. I agree with you that arent a whole lot of combo's over 600 but some of that could be due to mismatching of parts.
Like I heard that opposed to an ls1/2 that you get to a point of dimishing returns with cam size. Most pople are stuck on the biggest is the most powerful but its my undertanding it doesnt apply to the bigger cubes. Some might think my cam it small at 248/260 but is subscribes to the theory so we'll see. I have added ALL PRO LSW heads to the mix now as well so the heads are up in the air.
OK heads are no longer up in the air, going with ALL PRO LSW's from WCCH

We arent the only shop making these #s either.
To the OP, good luck on your build. Sounds like one stout combo!!!!

To the OP- You may want to look at the flow numbers for the heads you're using and match the cam to that. If I used a cam picked for the PRC heads and went with the All Pros I would always wonder what I had left on the table. These things aren't one size fits all. I'm looking forward to seeing your results. I'm sure it will be a monster.
