Tony@AFR & Patrick G have both made over 500rwhp with 346 cube engines and remained streetable.

I am shooting for mid 400's with my 12.2:1 347 and mildly ported 6.0L heads. I may change to a set of TFS heads in search of 500+rwhp later down the road.

Yeah, Pat G's 508rwhp is the most I have ever heard of someone correct me if I'm wrong.

My LS6 346 Cid NA Stock Shortblock Pump Gas is producing 511 rwhp and 455 rwtq...and it is still my Streetable daily driver.

Now refering to the OP "what is the highest horsepower 346ci n/a?" I am convinced that in the racing world some highest specific HP are reachable...

Solid Roller, Dry Sump, Victor Jr Intake, specific headers/exhaust, specific heads and camshaft for an optimized power band from 5800rpm to 8200rpm on race fuel and serious power numbers would show-up!!!
Horse Power are very closely Money/"investment" related...

Anyway for info:

Christian

I believe Allan Futral made somewhere in the 540s with his solid roller LS1. Phil99vette also made in the 530s or 540s with a solid roller 347. LS1 Joe made in the 510s or 520s with a hydraulic cammed LS1. While it's difficult to make over 500 rwhp with just heads and cam, it's even more difficult to do it with every-day daily-driving street manners like Christian and others have done.

Wow, 511/455 streetable NA horsepower with a 346 is just awesome. And the other numbers thrown out there (Pat G and others) are just as impressive, especially the hydraulic roller setups.

490 rwhp 445 rwtq with an LS1 block. Seems LS6 people always make a few more LOL.

You're putting down 490/445 to the wheels in an FRC and only trap 123? How much do you weigh??? Or am I missing something else?

Another vote for Futral. I also believe he still holds the record for the fastest NA 346 six speed car.

Here is Allan's 9 second run.

Car should weigh in just under 3200 and I weigh 250. 3450 +/- LOL

As far as the 123.6 mph trap that is 3.42 gears. Not optimal for the track, but still pretty damn good. I think had I gone with the 3.73's 125+ traps wouldn't have been out of the question. However my et's would still suck because I can't seem to get traction until 3rd gear, even with Nitto DR's.

Fixed it for you. Phil's now working on an insane huge turbo LSX Mustang conversion

We put down 530/480 with a set of box stock AFR 205s and a hydraulic G5xX cam, it backed it up at the track, 10.40 (vette) @ 140. Still the fastest NA 346, not the quickest.

140mph out of an N/A 346? That car must weigh 1800lbs.

4 years ago, I outlined the entire setup. Nothing crazy, just on top of the game four years ago.

Watch the video. It is an SCCA road racer that was modified to drag with this setup at the end of the season. Full carbon body etc. So ya, it was pretty light. You can see the way it dances across the track. Must be hell to drive

By any chance do you have vids of your car ? I would love to see the idle of that cam.

He never dynoed that motor. If you went by mph maybe, but it was never dynoed.

I did and it seems the race weight is 2950, still 140mph out of a n/a 346 making 530rwhp seems nuts to me especially weighing almost 3000lbs. Being 8mph faster than the 2nd fastest n/a 346 seems even more crazier considering its only maybe 300lbs max lighter.

I make respectable #S with a LS6 intake.
If one of the $ dollar intakes come down in price I will pick it up. Until then Im happy as a pig in ****.

Dont these all motor 346's RIP!
