That sh*t sounds freakin' sweet. It was eating up those little tires with ease. She will be dangerous until it gets some much needed traction.

What are the cam specs and compression ratio you were running in your 383? I am almost there on the power in mine but my tq is lacking seriously. Your new combo is going to be a monster. Good luck.

the CR was 10.8:1 on the 383 and the cam was my adr3(same as in c6) high 230s low 240s on 114 lsa

What kind of tq are you making now? Are you running 4.10s? I have seen 4.10 rob 15rwtq on the dyno!

Must be a HUGE cam to idle like that in a 440 cubic inch motor!

I am making 490rwhp and 445rwtq. I have a point more compression and a 6* on both lobes bigger cam than your old combo. I am going to up my compression some more and put my smaller cam back in and see what happens. Those are amazing numbers for your combo. It must have all been in the heads. I have LG LT's, TSP 2.5 LS6's, ported 90/90 and every bolt on save for an EWP. I haven't re-dynoed after the YT RR's though. I think my valve tain geometry was a little off with the stock rockers. I expect to be over 500/450rw next time on this current combo. I am still running the stock 3.42's but I did put on some heavier wheels. I really don't think the wheels are costing me much. The car has run 10.8's@130 so it is still making good power. I just want more tq since this is my daily driver. Thanks for the info.

this is actually my car. I am not going to spray it. The car will be for road racing and some autox.

I plan to keep 100 octane in it. I am installing a new fuel pump monday or so and I will get the numbers up!

FYI I had TSP 2.5 heads on the 383 at first and pulled them off and put my new cnc 243 head that I built on and picked up 12 rwp. I will get the compare graph up for you!

Thanks for the info. I am very interested in your prior project. Your new one is a complete monster as well. I love the way it sounds. It also revs up extreamly fast. When you switched to your heads how much tq did you pick up? Who does your tuning?

Pray,

I would guess that the head runner cc in conjunction with your SCR/DCR is what is holding you back.

My friend Rob is experiencing the same thing:

MTI 402 11:1
244/112 cam
MTI ported LS6's with nearly 240cc runner volume
C5Z through 3.90's
stock Z wheels
475whp/445wtq

My car:

TSP 402 11.6:1
240/244/111 cam
ETP 215's
C5Z through 3.90's
18" HRE's
510whp/497wtq

His car has gone 99 1/8th, 129 1/4
My car has gone 102 1/8th, and 132 1/4
Both runs were at +2,500 DA

I have been a big believer of the smaller runner heads and a strong scr/dcr as my first set of non-stock heads on my 346 were the TSP 2.5 243's, which made the car seem sluggish. I went to the ETP's with more compression and the car woke up! On my 402 these small runner's will eat tires with the 413wtq it makes at 2,800rpm...

Good luck, Just tryin to share some info!

Thanks for the info. I am running 11.8 SCR with 8.5 DCR. So the compression is there but the DCR is lacking. The car has gone 102+ 1/8 and 130 1/4 at +500 DA. I am running a 244/248 .612/.615 114+4 cam right now. I am going to go back to my Pat G 239/244 .651/.612 112+2 cam and a .030 Cometic for a SCR of 12.1 and DCR of 8.9. I am going to start my own thread so I don't pirate this one any more. So please chime in on my new thread. Sorry to the OP for hijacking. That was not my original intent.
