Well, I know that the tuner the Haans249 had experience @ Livernois w/ is LONG gone. Dan Millen is the only one that tunes there now. so in all fairness that statement does not really apply.

He doesn't charge different. It depends on what all you change. Minor change he charges low,or to tune for N.O.S but the car will be the same(if you have your own nos box to pull timing) it is usually lower. A tune where you may change heads, cam, ect he charges more. For him to put my car on the dyno to check my A/F for n.o.s it was $50.00.

Most of the reason for the tune was to get driveability down, so after the tune got done, I took it home, and had TERRIBLE driveability problems constantly stalling etc... Called them back, they took back the car for a couple days and they said they did a FULL driveability tune driving on the street with a wideband hooked up and got it all running better. I get in the car to take it home, back it up and it stalls. I gave up, got EFILive, and pulled the tune. Come to find out, they DIDN'T CHANGE anything related to driveability! The only thing they did was INcorrectly changed my injector flow rate, adjusted the desired airflow a little which was still WAY off, and added some timing. I explained to them what I saw, and they just blew me off like I didn't know what i was talking about, but sadly i'm not as uneducated as they had thought. They had my car for 5 days....and was the biggest waste of 500 bucks in my life.
ive heard some bad things about the old tuner at livernois, but dan does all the tuning on the cars now. he had trouble getting my car to idle good with my 50lbers. after a while the car started holding idle better but they told me to bring it back for a retune once i get new injectors so they can get it perfect. i was happy with my experience at livernois and would definately reccomend them.

Actually, in all fairness, my statement DOES apply, because it was an experience that I DID have. They let me go out the door an extremely unhappy customer, and that counts for something.
If someone else is doing the tuning now thats fine, but I will share that Dan Millen told me personally when I picked the car back up that he personally took my car out on the road with the wideband and adjusted everything including the VE table and that it drove great. When I pulled the tune after getting EFILive because it didn't drive great and drove like crap, the VE table was completely untouched, and the car drove exactly as it did before I took it back.

But like I said, maybe things have changed there because my experience was several years ago, but I will never take my vehicle back there.

That's your choice. I however have my car there now...and I'll continue
to have Livernois do all of my stuff.

Just a point of fact, Dan Millen has the fastest small block Mustang on 10.5W's in the
entire world...and no one touches the tune up in his car but him.

Thats badass, for real, and I'm serious.

I'm sure things back then were different, they had a lot of different things going on, and I had heard other bad things about them prior to my engagement with them. As far as things now, maybe they are better, maybe I should give them a second chance, and see if things really are different. On the other hand, their bad service back then did encourage me to learn to tune myself, and it has been a very fortunate endeavor.
They do have bad-*** cars there, and I'm sure they don't hire any random jack-*** either. With W2W going out, its getting harder to find a really good reputable shop, so I hope they keep on keeping on.

Best Regards,
Adrian

I would not recommend Vector - Charged me $450 - car gained less than 10 rwhp, driveabilty sucked (bucked like crazy), has hanging idle issues. It did start better however.

The guy spent just over one hour on the car. Just didn't really seem interested in doing the work. Maybe it was because there was a guy with a procharged z06 wiating to come in after me...?

I went to speed inc when my car was a bolt on it was a little far to drive but I made a day out of it. In the end it was worth it they (JIM) spent a good chunk of the afternoon on it got lots of dyno graps too. The car ended up making 353 to the tire when he was done and she drove great.

that is one place i was considering but its a 4 to 4 1/2 drive one way. Plus with me doing a cam swap it might not be good to drive it that far without a tune, so i would have to trailer it. Other than that i am still thinking of just going there

Anyone ever here of Jori Sullivin at Pande's Performance in Westland? I have been talking to him about getting my car tuned after cam install. I thought is full tune price of 750$ was a little steep? Anyone ever heard of this shop? I think he used to work for W2W.
