Default good place in metro detroit area?

Hey guys, I was wondering if anyone knew of a good place to get a tune, and possibly getting my car dynoed as well? I live in shelby township Mi, and I think my car could use one. Thanks.

I'd recommend Vector Motorsports in Clinton Twp. He's worked on my cars for the past 15 years.

**EDIT**Removed contact info for non-sponsor.

With that being said, good luck getting him to return your phone call. However I do hear that he does a great job on your car. He's just too busy to return a phone call so I didn't let him touch my car.

If you are mostly stock, some of the tuners will give you a non-dyno tune for half price. A dyno tune will usually be in the $500 range. I wouldn't spend the money for a full dyno tune if you are mostly stock though.

With an A4, they can tweak your shifting and stuff, but they don't need to do it on a dyno. I wouldn't spend the money for a full dyno tune yet. Spend it on more mods!

Just out of curiosity... and for us Michiganders... Did you get tuned, and if so, where, and how were the results?

I'm also looking to get my stocker touched up...providing they don't jack it up.
On mine, All I want to do is get a little more juice out of it's lazy butt, and lower the fan kick on temp so I can stop overheating on Woodward.

I got a coupon at the AutoRama this year, for 3 dyno runs $80, which I hope to take advantage of.
Their programming/dyno fee was $699 though. Not worth it for a bone stock car.

No I havent yet, I decided I wanted to wait for somemore mods. I just cant justify spending around 500 bucks when if in the near future I will need a retune.

I would NOT recommend Livernois, I had my car dyno tuned there, and they LITERALLY did not do ANYTHING to it. I asked them to do a full tune on it, they spent like 7 hours on the tune, even staying after hours, which I thought was great. Most of the reason for the tune was to get driveability down, so after the tune got done, I took it home, and had TERRIBLE driveability problems constantly stalling etc... Called them back, they took back the car for a couple days and they said they did a FULL driveability tune driving on the street with a wideband hooked up and got it all running better. I get in the car to take it home, back it up and it stalls. I gave up, got EFILive, and pulled the tune. Come to find out, they DIDN'T CHANGE anything related to driveability! The only thing they did was INcorrectly changed my injector flow rate, adjusted the desired airflow a little which was still WAY off, and added some timing. I explained to them what I saw, and they just blew me off like I didn't know what i was talking about, but sadly i'm not as uneducated as they had thought. They had my car for 5 days....and was the biggest waste of 500 bucks in my life.

$275 for a retune last month. I think he charges everyone different.
