Default New #'s after H/C and tune!!!

Well, I just got back from getting my tune on the new setup at RPM Motorsports in Lewisville. Brian did a great job on the tune--great driveability! The new #'s are posted in the sig. Thanks to RD for helping me with the H/C install and Adam for the lift usage.
Now I just need to get that driver mod at the track and put down some decent times!

Oops me and my silly eyes. One question though. Why not upgrade the intake?

Thanks guys! The car feels good. I did upgrade to an ls6 intake (I had an ls1 intake). IMHO, the Fast 90 is overrated(and overpriced) for a stock displacement motor. Plus I got a good deal on the ls6 intake.

Because it is $1000 for 10 hp peak over an ls6 intake on a stock displacement motor. For me, that is not good value. Also, typically you will gain peak power but lose a little power down low on a 346 inch motor. On a bigger motor, or a motor that is a pure race motor, you bet it is worth every penny. That is just my opinion. I will definitely get one for my next motor (which will be 400+ inches). I think HOT ROD actually tested the 90/90 set up a couple of years ago.

A couple points on the ported 90 mm FAST with matching ported 90 mm N/W t/b. I lost absolutely no power down low. What do you think about 360 rwtq at 2800 rpms?? I too am stock cubes (346) I gained everywhere. My numbers are in my SIG, in case you don't feel like looking its 490 rwhp 445 rwtq. My cam is more aggressive then yours more duration and more lift so it better takes advantage of the flow capabilities of the ported fast 90. I also have some pretty good flowing heads, afr 205's milled to 59cc for roughly 11.5 to 1 compression when used with a .040 cometic gasket. (Not my calculations so if its inaccurate I plead the 5th) LOL.

Now back to your results, I can only say way to go. You got some very good results from a very sensible, well mannered setup. Congrats !! Daily driver capabilities with some serious respect being commanded when the throttle is nailed !!!

Didn't mean to sound like I was busting your *****, but you really do get what you pay for, and the Ported FAST 90 is a damn good upgrade, even on stock cubic inches.

Thanks, I am pretty happy with the #'s based on what I have in the motor. I did say the FAST 90/90 set up is good if you are going all out. It is also great if you are running a direct port nitrous system. You have an excellent set up. AFR head are awesome, you have a big cam, and lots of compression. I was basing my statements on my set up. Someone asked me what I didn't upgrade intakes. With my set up, there is no point. I would gain 10hp peak and spend $1k. I have 67cc combusion chambers on my heads. You have a much more aggressive motor than mine. Nice #'s by the way!

I guess you and I are both correct. Your car is definately stout and 1000 bucks really is too much for 10 hp. Thanks for the compliment. 490 rwhp is nice but the goal was 500 at the wheels. The 445 rwtq was an unexpected surprise. I was being told to expect 435 max. Now if only I could cut a sub 2 sec 60 at the track. LOL. Good luck with everything bro.

Be careful when you head to the track, or it'll be time for a 9".

Put on Some MT Drag radials and you will be there. My 04 GTO put down 1.73 60' with MT Drag Radials. Would be lower with Streets or slicks though.

The fast will help out down low in most apps, I have a similar setup to you and the same cam pretty much did 452/415 before tuning. 415 is good tq for the low end if you ask me.

Anyway nice numbers and I bet if you shaved those heads down a lot your TQ would go up a bit also.
