2 grand to fix up my Dart 205's? So, that means I will have $3400 in my little 205's? Not worth it.

Thanks everyone! For such a small cam and minimal head work .. she sure puts the power out. Awesome useable power .. she just keeps right on pulling. I can't wait for my next track day

The converter was locked ... however, from past dyno's with this converter when my H/C #'s were 404 unlocked, she only made like 409 locked. We have a dyno day this weekend and I get 3 pulls so .. I'll have him run unlocked. I should have some unlocked numbers by Monday.

$2K? .. then I got a SWEET deal! (Thanks Bret!)

On the heads he did for this build he replaced some bent valves, new springs, and the port work for around $1700. Not a bad deal at all.

O yeah I forgot the price of the cam was in that as well, so yeah it really was a good deal for the power the car is making.

Any track times? I have a 408 A4 with 12-bolt and all set up and tuned for a 200 shot in sig. How you liking the power with a A4? Great numbers!

Your goals are pretty obvious to not go fast so spend that money on some junk parts and be like the rest of the guys on here. make good dyno numbers but the car wont perform at the track. its your call.

You obviously have no clue on what good portwork goes for and what its actually worth to have a well optimized setup.

I agree about cost. I don`t want to tell youwhat I got in my ET 245`s but they flow like crazy now. Greg Good`s magic!

These are the numbers from my bench. 28", 4.030" bore, and no pipe on the exhaust port.

Intake Exhaust
.200" 148 117
.300" 228 160
.400" 301 196
.500" 339 247
.600" 354 263
.650" 354 269
.700" 355 272

Speed and power don`t come cheap!!

No, not with this set-up .. but as soon as we get all the bugs worked out, I'lll have some I'm set-up for a 150 shot also/

No doubt, your numbers are the best I've seen for an N/A A4. Do you have any track times?

There's one thing I've learned in all my years building project vehicles, cars and trucks .. Identify a goal, comit to it and DO NOT CHEAP OUT! Research, research, research ... and spend it once! Make a solid business decision and go with it.

Who built your tranny? Have you sprayed this combo yet?

The ***** in your avatar can .. lol

My trans was built by Bobby at Bobby's Transmissions in Kinston, NC. Fully built w/ the 4L65 upgrades etc. No, I haven't sprayed it yet. Still working out my traction

I had it to the track but could only manage a 1.77 60ft. I've since made some adjustments but haven't been able to get back to the track. She ran an 11.60 @ 119mph but I had the trans in OD and she shifted into 4th about 2 sec. before the light so .. she'll pull more mph than that. I'm gonna' have to get a set of track rims/tires and some shocks in order to get the most out of this set-up I think.

Here's a vid of an 11.64 run w/ 1.82 60'.

I ran my time above on the stock shocks, 10 bolt, and with the front sway bar. I ran my best 1.50 60' with the stock torque arm. I think some good shocks will make a difference. I can tell a difference on the street with the QA1s on the car now even with my worn out Nittos non DR 555s. They transfer the weight really well.

Also you may need some more tuning on your tranny. My tranny never shifts into OD while running down the track and I always leave my shifter in OD.

I'm hoping for high 10's on the motor and low to 10's to high 9's on the spray when my 408 is done. I should have been in the high 10's with just my H/C and 100 shot but I couldn't get my 60' down. Good luck with getting the bugs worked out I'm sure it won't be long before it's hauling ****!

1ORANGEWS6

Yeah, my 3/4 shift point is still at the factory setting (5100 I think). I'l have my tuner adjust that but in the mean time, I'll just run it in D (3rd).

I'm hoping to get high 10's out of mine, as she sets .. but getting these 17" wheel/tires to deliver a decent 60' (mid to low 1.5) will be the key I think.

BeardWS6

Have you had yours to the track yet?
