Default Dyno results in...mild H/C/I setup

Well they always say the dyno is a humble maker but I guess I will wait and see how it performs at the track which is more important. First things first the car is a 99 FRC with the original 78k miles LS1 block.

Setup as follows:
PRC 5.3L stage 2.5 heads stock GM HG's
Pat G 232/238 .608/.612 111+1 cam XFI lobes
Vengeance Ported Fast 90
Revxtreme 90mm TB (thing was a bitch to tune without the normal lip)
Yella Terra RR's
Vararam Intake
TSP LT's no cats
Custom Magnaflow Exhaust
Powerbond UDP
Ported oil pump
Revxtreme stage 3 built 3.90 rear
Tick Performance Built T56

Now I think thats all of the performance mods. The car made 440rwhp and 390rwtq before with the MS3 and LS6 Mani/TB combo and stock gears but it was on a different dyno. Now enough of the jibber jabber...

New numbers 440rwhp and 400rwhp but it holds strong to 6800 and I plan to go back and have it tuned to 7100 since I have ARP rod bolts in now. So I gained no peak and 10 rwtq from the smaller cam, YT's and Fast 90/90 combo. Now I was expecting to lose some from the cam swap, and gears but I was really hoping for 460rwhp. I am told his dyno is a little stingy but I'll see how it performs at the track once its all broken it. I know the dyno is only a tuning tool, just wished I would have gotten a before on the same dyno.

What do you guys think?

440rwhp in a 3100lb car is awesome....

And if the power under the curve is better, then you did alright.

I think the heads are holding it back some, I realize they are better than stock but I think I could pick up an easy 20rwhp with an AFR or TFS head. I will probably swap once I do the motor build. I'll try to remember to scan the graphs tomorrow and post them. Picked up 10 rwhp most of the curve and the same for tq.

I have that exact same cam from pat G with TSP stage 2.5 5.3 heads ported fast 90/90
I put down 435rwhp in an A4,but I have a 10 bolt though..

I just picked my car up yesterday..I thought I would lose alot of low end going with this from my 224 cam,but it still feels strong to me down low..Mid range is just nuts LOL!!

I may step up to some trickflow too,but dont know that it would gain much to be worth it,if I would get 20-25rwhp I may consider it in the near future

yes it feels strong for sure, I only got on it a bit in first as I am breaking in the trans and diff. I'll let it run wild in about 400 miles to see how she feels. The low/mid range makes the MS3 setup feel like a 4 banger but im sure the gears, fast help a lot also along with the cam.

I was thinking the exact same thing. Those are some nice numbers. Let us know how it does at the track.

If you want to see an actual mild H/C car, look at mine. Patriot LS6 heads, 224/228 cam, bolt-ons, all through a 12-bolt, 4.10s, and built transmission with a heavy driveshaft: 400/367. Even with a 90/90, my car would still be put to shame by yours.

That cam sure isnt extreme though. More like a mid sized cam, not a baby like a 226 or 226 but not big like a magic stick.

I will post up for sure. Should make its first track outing in a couple weeks. My goal was 10's which is why I went with the Stage 3 built diff and built trans, we will see if it has the power to do it now, if def has the strength in the drivetrain to do it.

The numbers are good I know the 3.90 is taking some HPs but I thought Ported Fast 90
and YT will help you a lot.

And those heads are not the problem IMO but like you said Dyno is Tuning tool track is what matters and I'm sure the car will fly at the track
440rwhp + 3100lbs = FAST is you can drive.

Looks about right with those heads.A 232 Cam on a 111 duration is big in my book, but not stupid big like the high 230's low 240's.
