Default Bolt on/stall A4 numbers with new ARH 1 7/8 LTs

Well I took the car to Mike Norris today to see what the car was putting down after I installed the headers, and to see if the tune needed any tweaking.

The red graph is a few months old and the car had:
SLP lid
ported stock TB
FTRA
cutout on stock SS catback
Norris Tune

The blue graph is from today and the car now has:
removed:
FTRA, stock SS catback w/ cutout

Added:
TCI SSF 3500 converter
ARH 1 7/8 LTs
custom ORY w/ flowmaster 3" to 3.5" merge
SLP dual/dual catback
160 tstat
swapped SS 10 spokes for heavy *** Z06 Motorsports
Norris re-tune (1st pull was 337 hp so the re-tune was worth 5 hp)

This goes to show that 1 7/8 headers still work pretty damn well on a stock internal 346. I'm impressed on how well the power carried to 6400 RPM.

STD graph

SAE graph

I'm pretty happy with the car overall right now.

Why did you remove the FTRA?

It was in the way of where I wanted to mount the tranny cooler. I also saw no gains from it at the track or at the pump so I sold it.

Do you have a cam or something? Because your rev limiter is set very high and out cam really doesnt make much power passed 5900-6000rpm.
When you did the run what gear were you in?
I am just really suprised you made power through 6200.

Also some people have a stock short block with a cam ect and spin it to 7k or more.

Stock cam. As you can see, he didn't spin it as high last time. I'm really not sure at all why he did this time. I'm pretty sure my shift points are still set at 6200 though, I'll have to call Mike and make sure. I don't know why it kept pulling as good as it did...but I'll take it!

Edit: the car was in 3rd which is the 1:1 gear IIRC.
