I agree, working on a car that has been around the shops is never a good idea. At the same time, when inspecting a motor from another place, it would have been a good idea to verify all parts that he claimed entered your shop, because once that motor enters your shop, you're liable for it all. That will be the verdict in court.

Its a shame to see a reputable shop take heat like this that is not warranted.

if the engine was disassembled at Spectacle... wouldn't the cam have to be degreed again when installed? The numbers would be way off degreeing a stock LS2 cam with the specs of Tom's other cam, right? Unless the cam was done dot to dot, which I figure wouldn't be good for an engine like this.

Maybe I don't have all the information...

I dont want to get involved, but I will throw out my 2 cents. I dont know the OP, and I dont know the shop or anyone that works there..But if I was payed to dissamble a built motor and check it, I deffinantly would of asked the customer why he is using a stock cam, maybe even try to sell him new one. Especially if the customer brought the car there trying to figure out what is wrong with it.

The cam in my 600+ hp blown car was installed dot to dot and does not have an adjustable timing chain.

so I suppose if you want to have an issue with that....no problem. but we did not steal anything.

I am ready to see the moderator "lock this thread". There is no need for this to go on further. There were issue's, we have discussed them. I don't want this to become a venting board for "other possible issue's" also.

Jeff, In the end... let's just agree to disagree. And hopefully we both learn something from this.
