Theres quite a few pics inthe thread in the Vette section...
Vids should be up today or tomorrow.....

How long will it last....? Who knows....everyone was convinced that this same motor wouldnt make it past 2-3 weeks of abuse when we made 615 rwhp withthe ProCharger, so....we've been on borrowed time for a while now, but it seems to like it.

They did not make ls6's in 05. You either have a 6.0/ls2 bottom end or 01-04 5.7/ls6 bottom end.

Ls6's were only used in Z06's and CTS-V's and they were stopped in 04

The motor is an LS6 from my '05 CTS-V, GM put the LS6 in the V the first two years, and then went with the LS2 in '06 and '07. No CTS-V in '08, the '09 will have the SC LSA.

Congrats

Thanks...but I'd take out 600's with 450rwhp and shifting like a proper american. With 615rwhp, I have raced several CBR1000's(all late model) from 80ish mph rolls. Up until 5th gear, it was a dead heat between myself and those exact bikes. The only bike that would pull on me off the HIT, would be a gixxer 1000. At 140, i'd stop there pull, and start gaining ground.

With this mush "extra" power,...the outcome should be different. Think of the trap speed capability of a car laying down nearly 800rwhp,...that'd be what, around..150mph?.... the bike stock does what?...140-148?...... I don't think i'll have a problem if were starting from 80+

I don't know actually. I am getting some bigger wastegates, hoping to maintain a little less boost. Right now, i'm shifting at 5500rpm's,...i'm programmed for 6K(stock bottom-don't stress it)..so, it's a little learning curve. I have no tried to do any sort of pass in the car where i've gotta shift gears quickly....so, I don't know how it'll respond taking it to 5500rpms...then shifting(powershifting)....I don't know where it'll fall off to... so, I want the bigger gates, so I can keep the rpms up as high as possible.

Also adding a msd boost a pump to hopefully help out a little.

Thats my stock hood,...I ordered NACA ducts, and we installed them at work. They do work,...as my IAT's are near ambient.

I love how everyone knows everything over the internet sometimes. By the way, my name here is "V-seriesTech"...as in I work on the cars...meaning I work on Cadillac's. I can assure you,..04-05 CTS-V's...we're 5.7 liter LS6,..346ci motors. This motor was given to me from one bad cad, with 14K miles on it. He had is magnacharger on it for a few miles witha camshaft. It made 470rwhp on that setup in the V with 5psi. And for the record, I see VERY LITTILE 6.0 LS2 cts-v's at my dealership. I have worked on ONE in that configuration.

It's tough love man.

Didn't want to be a dick but, when someone tells me that the motor in MY car,..is a different motor, and is sure about it....ah..well, no,..can't have that.

I'm twisted but, not that twisted.

Just wait till I start posting some kill stories....

I'd love to be in the passenger seat when you punch it from 80 in 3rd. You will probably do nothing but spin and hopefully hook when you grab 4th but it would be cool to be pressed into my seat. That thing is going to be nasty nasty nasty in 5th gear. I feel sorry for the exotic that wants to run you to 170 or so. No chance. LOL and be careful man.

How do the taller gears feel with all that extra power ?? ( 5th and 6th )

1-3 uselsss. 4th, spins on the hit but, I have no seat time in the car. Just a couple of quick blasts in any one or two gears. Remember, i'm limitiing myslef to 5500 rpms to save the negine due to lack of fueling so, HIGH gear pulls, or restricted at the moment, until I get the bigger wastegates, and the BAP installed. I blew a power steering pressure hose llast night so, i'm home now,..waiting for later so I can bring the car to work, and i'll try and have it fixed by tomorrow night, so I can take it out.

On the michelins, it sucks. Can't wait till I put my other tires on the car, si I can feel the power a little better. Since now, it's driving on ice.
