How can you be upset about those numbers in an auto car that idles close to stock?

My fiancee has an 04 GTO and its a great car that needs this 400 at the wheels. Go run a couple other GTOs and you will see how much faster your car is.

Good numbers, I wouldn't be upset. You bought a "stealth cam" buddy, you can't expect for it perform like a max effort h/c set-up. Go enjoy the power and the smooth ride.

For a relatively mild setup, I'd be real happy! A few traction mods and that car has 11's all over it!

An FTI Converter for sure should be the next mod. Those are kick-*** numbers for such a small cam, decent heads through an a4. Find a few 430-450 rwhp M/6's to run at the track adn see how you compare, you wont be discouraged after that. Congrats!

I'd be happy with those results considering the mild cam, Patriots, and the auto drivetrain! Get a converter in there and the car will be a whole different animal.

I'm now in the process of building 408 motor looking for 500 rwhp and need advises

- i took 6.0L iron block which is bored to 4.03 then i will ordered a 408 rotating assembly with
- Diamond Racing Pistons -10 cc
- Mahle 4.030" plasma moly rings 1.5/1.5/3.0
- Callies CompStar LS1 rods 6.125 length std. jornal
- ARP 2000 rod bolts
- Callies CompStar 4.000" stroke Crankshaft 4340 Forging 2.100" journal
- ACL LS1 Main bearing set (race) standard size
- ACL SBC standard jounral rod bearing set (race)

i will put speed inc ss3 cam 242/250 611/619 114
with my current mods and i will convert my car to M6 i will exchange my A4 tranny with my friend M6

i need your advise in the following points:

1- i have a 1 3/4 kooks headers with a 2.5 CB will this rape a lot of power ? if so will putting an electric cutout after collector will solve the problem ?

2- should i put ARP head studs ? or the ARP bolts will be fine
( i have FI as future plans with changing the heads to biggest CC heads to lower the compression which will be 11.5 with this setup )

3- some one told me that my 59cc heads will lower the efficiency ( power ) is this true ?

4- do you recommend another cam which will idles smoothly at 1100 and still give good power till 7200 rpm ?

5- Are those good choices for the rotating assembly components ?

6-What spark plugs to use with such high compression engine will the TR6IX be fine or should i go colder ?

You are goign to need some really good heads like ported AFR 225, ETP 225, or TFS heads. Some American Racing headers and y-pipe (1-7/8 primaries), Have Pat G spec you a LSL lobed cam, a FAST92 opened to 100mm and ported by mamo and that is just scratching the surface. You want 500 to the wheels N/A, through an auto better get ready to drop some big money. Something like a reverse split cam and some Patriot heads are gonna hack it.

Also, you are not goign to reach 500 on a block that is set-up for FI with an iron 408

That dyno graph isn't big enough. I should have to scroll AT LEAST 3 times to the left to be able to see it all.

If you're planning on all that, you better budget for a new nicely built tranny. Ur A4's gonna go boom after you put a stroker in. I'd say keep what you got and throw a converter and 100 shot for the track on it. You'll have fun keeping the tires from spinning with the setup you got now. It's not a bad setup at all and I'm sure you'll surprise a few people with it. No sense in changing it all up now. Just get a good converter first off and see how it does.

You should order a custom cam from pat g or something. I bet you can pull 15 or more hp out of a bigger cam.
