I raced a S/C Mach 1 at the track. He ran a 7.71@91.7 to my 7.51@91.6 me being N/A, H/C,FAST,12 bolt, stalled car. I saw he had longtubes and full exhaust.

Ok you got me too, I get riled up almost as fast as confuzed. Too bad I couldn't live farther away, otherwise I would give your rag a run for the money. By the way I like LS-1's also but it would have to be in a TA them catfish are ugggly.

I ran a H/C/I Camaro on bigs and skinnies. I shut it down after 3 seconds that thing ran away from me.

i raced a stock one when i had full exhaust and stock tires. i beat him 2/3 times if i remember right by about 2 cars.

i'd say stock for stock is damn close, which isn't very good considering the ls1 is probably half the price

Mines a TA. I like TA's better than Camaros too. I won't go so far as to call the Camaro ugly though.

I take it that was when they were new? I would guess that now it would be more like:

2002 Z28~10,000 (high even for modded ls1)
2003 Mach~19,000?

Nice guys keep em coming. All very interesting stories. The guy I race from 45 to 90 isn't a very good driver. He pulled like a 14.5 with his m5 mach and I was running 14.0 with my m6 vert. I couldn't get the dam thing off the line with out bogging and spinning hard. It was frustrating although I didn't expect that from it. I guess I got used to my fox notch too much.

I personally, don't see 02 LS1s for as low as you are indicating. $10k for a modded Z is a decent price around here. Machs are all over the board. On the registry, I'd say selling prices are avg $15k.

EDIT: well...ok..not modded, but here's a quick example. http://fresno.craigslist.org/cto/841017436.html

Umm not so. I paid 15000 for mine a year ago with 13000 original miles. I've seen a few for 10000-12000.

This is a perfect thread for Bench Racing.

Btw, I've seen low milage 02 SS's/WS6's for $17K+ still. I sold mine for $16K 5 months ago.

convertible z28's were 29,000 also though. and the mach is newer...almost all newer cars get pricier.

and like stated above ^^ there are many t/a's selling for around the same as a mach...

me and my buddy looked at two ws6's. one was 18K and one was 16K.

UM NO......see below. apparently you aren't up to speed on prices of machs. Priced higher, yes....2x, not even close.

Ran one at the track with bolt ons and a 150 shot. I had him on the start then he hit the baby bottle when he shifted into 2nd and went by me in a wheelie.

me--him

60' 1.97--2.07
1/8 7.98--8.05
1/4 12.40--12.16
mph 112.3--121.1
