We are racing tomorrow night. Im curious as what kinda of outcome I should expect. My car has an intake, LG Longtube headers, V3 Cam, and tune (430 rwhp) His car is stock with around 700 miles on it. It will be recorded so I will post a vid. Just curious as to what kinda outcome I should get. Thanks in advance. Ill post the video when its available.

I say the '08 should pull ahead by at least 3 car lengths, pending he can shift gears. The higher the mph climb, the more distance between the two cars.

 

What if we go in reverse? LOL JK!

 

if both drivers are good the 08 will beat you. Being able to rev to 7k is awesome.

 

Who has a taller reverse gear? LOL

 

08 by 2-5 cars, look up allngn's 490rwhp runs vs C6Z's.

 

Assuming equal drivers, he is going to take you by a steady rate.

Run some MT ET streets and go from a dig

 

I was only going by the trap speed of 121mph. I've seen several C6 Z06s run around that mph. Put in place one driver might be better than the other and whichever car it will be is going to win. Seems like a drivers race to me. However if its from a roll it could change the outcome all together.

 

This video was exactly what I had in mind when I was typing that. 490rwhp FRC vette got pulled one car length by a (stock? i think) C6Z. Maybe the Z had intake...

BUT back then noone ever really knew if fadis car was truely stock. He could of tuned it ,ported the intake manifold and easily picked up30+rwhp

 

id say the 08 man....you gotta do some engine work to keep up with a new z06

What do new c6z's put to the ground like 445-460rwhp neighborhood. C5z is light by a lil bit with 430rwhp from a dig or slow roll id say you've got the upper hand if you can drive. If ya get beat by him it aint gonna be by much.
