I'll be nice...there's a big difference between what gears go in an auto and whats goes in an M6, and the thread you linked (for whatever reason) means little. And no a shift kit is not pointless/waste of money

I was unaware of the new bench racing forum. Will post future scenarios in the correct forum. Lastly, the kid in the Evo claims to launch at 6grand??? that seems like a hellava launch, will i be able walk this kid down?

Depends what speed you go to. In the 1/4 it'd be close.

4.10s are good for manuals, 3.73s for autos.

Uh, what are you talking about? heavier than what older mustangs? highway gears? we dont' even know what tranny it has to know what gears it has.

S197 with CAI and tune will put down roughly 280-290rwhp (they are extremely rich with major retarded timing). Most S197 guys won't get just a CAI and not tune it.

6000 RPM launch sounds about right for that car. Remember if they bog down with the AWD then he just lost his two best weapons, boost and the hole shot. By launching that high and driving through a little wheel spin he will have a much better launch.

Go get some nitrous and shut him up.

You have that wrong. I had 4.10's in my auto with a stall, shift kit, then switched to 4.30's. When I put the nitrous on it, I went back to 4.10's
With my stick car, I ran 4.56's when it was n/a and went 3.73 when I had it on nitrous.
