cam and spray LT1 vs Cam LS1? what do you guys think, there is a kid with a LT1 and somewhere around a 100 shot talking mad **** on my car. he has a really big cam, stock heads, stock intake, 4.11s, bolt-ons, and 17in drag radials. he ran a 8.5 on motor. he outran a friend of mine in a bolt-on Ls1 with a 150 shot but my friend spun like crazy. my mods are below. tell me what you think should i do it? my car hooks pretty good on the street. his best 60ft on motor was a 1.9

Close. I dunno, it depends on the cam he has and what shot he has, those make a pretty big difference. If he doesn't have DR's I say you take him b/c of holeshot and he may pass you on the big end w/nitrous.

cammed w/o worked heads, he'd need a hell of a tune to be competitive with you. If he actually has a decent amount of spray it could be close. What's your set up?

With your setup, you should be hitting mid 7's.
Somehow, I don't think a 100shot, let alone a 75, is going to be enough to beat you.

he was texting me saying my car is under cammed and would not have any topend LOL he said put spray on it and he would still beat me LOL. so i borrowed my buddies new NOS plate kit and now he said he took his DRs off so he wont race. this dude is a punk!! he has the biggest cam that would clear in a stock motor (bigger than a guys 396 H/C race car) with stock heads LOL. this guy is so lost

i have a 228/232 588/595 cam. its not big but its not small either. i have a LS6 intake, ported throttle body, stainless headers, and the stuff in my sig...

If he is that overcammed you will definitly take him. I doubt he is willing to spin his stock motor to 7000+ RPMs to make optimum power.
Sounds like he is a bitch and all talk though.

oh he is we were supposed to do a 50 to 120mph run tonight but like always he backed out. i hate dealing with immature punks. who cares if you win or lose it all for fun..
