Default cam and spray LT1 vs Cam LS1?

what do you guys think, there is a kid with a LT1 and somewhere around a 100 shot talking mad **** on my car. he has a really big cam, stock heads, stock intake, 4.11s, bolt-ons, and 17in drag radials. he ran a 8.5 on motor. he outran a friend of mine in a bolt-on Ls1 with a 150 shot but my friend spun like crazy. my mods are below. tell me what you think should i do it? my car hooks pretty good on the street. his best 60ft on motor was a 1.9

From a technical look. He is probably at around 330-350 to the wheels with the cam, and 430 with the spray.

you are probably under 400 with your cammed car.

My guess would go with the lt1 with the spray, and definitly you without it.

what do you guys think in a 1/8th mile race? i know 1/8th is gay but he said he will kill me in any race. i think my car would run 7.6s atleast. idk what his will run but i doubt any better than that. its a m6, stock rearend and no suspension.
and yes my car has 400hp your rite. but most cam only LT1s ive seen dyno around 300 so with a "75 shot" he should be around the same as me shouldnt he?

Most cam only lt1's dyno between 330-350rwhp on dynojet. Depending on cam obviously. Bolt on lt1's break 300rwhp pretty easily. A guy out at our local 1/8th runs 8.2 with a baby cam, long tubes, drag radials, stock gears with a stall. If he sprays he should walk you. But if he doesn't you'll get him easy. Let us know what happens.

I think you will take him. I had a similar experience with an LT1.
