JDM is a shop out of new jersey. As a 2v owner I'll tell you that it sounds like ya'll should be even up to 100 then you should start to walk on him. Just a tip make him run from a 40 roll. With the 3.73's he won't be in a good spot on the tach lol. And careful guys there are some cam only 2v's out there that have trapped in the 112-113 range.

i saw one with comp cams and stg 2 patriot heads put down 308rwhp on a dynojet..thru a 5spd..it was pretty funny. so what will your outcome be? A good laugh. i smoke bolton 4.6 gt's with my 145k mile 99 gtp...and all it has is an intake and minor boltons, no pulley swap (yet)

Don't those years put down around 225-235RWHP stock? If so then that's a decent gain...over 85RWHP from cams/heads which is not bad considering the smaller motor.

That is pretty good gain for a 2Ver from just a swap of head and cams. 4.6 is a smaller motor but it's "High Tech" vs a pushrod motor. I don't think you can use the smaller motor excuse anymore.
If you can't drive your car, you'd be in trouble, but even then considering the mods the GT has vs the 98's, the camaro should, key word "Should" be able to win hands down.

On the exhaust side I have lt's headers, ory, no cats, into the hooker aero chamber catback. I have factory gearing with the hurst short throw. We are both on street tires, but I'm conteplating on waitng for my MT's dr's from my other ss camaro back home to run that ***. I am kind of knew to the six speed but consider myself considerably decent at shifting. WHAT DO YA'LL THINK WILL BE THE OUTCOME??????

you should beat him

What some of these guys don't realize is that there are some decent (for what they are) 2v's out there. Mine made 280rwhp and 312tq with bolt-ons. It made 241 and 275 stock. I was about to install the cams I've got for it when it blew up on me. With the cams I should have been around 305rwhp. With the weight advantage and the proper gearing mild ls1 cars should take some 2v's more seriously.....

Another win for the LS1. If you shift it right you will win easily.

If you don't take him it's because you missed 3rd. Tell him your gonna race from a 30 punch because you just spin off the line and there's no point to launch off the line. Tell him first one to 155 wins. lol His **** will take all night. That's insurance incase you don't hit 3rd...You'll be fine, stangs are nothing to be worried about unless you hear a cobra hissing at you(s/c).

That logic is flawed when you think of spending $2K on an old foxbody and dropping maybe another $2K into it (nitrous/bolt-ons) and then smoke those $8K f-bods. Point is there's other ways to spend less and go faster.

Some of the ignorance posted on this board is mind blowing.

Let's see......he's got better tranny gears, rear gears, and is only down....maybe 15-20rwhp from you.....and weighs in a good 1-150 less than you.

Next time you wanna know about stangs.................................ask someone who knows about them. MOST of the replies in this thread.....are about as useful as a blind/deaf man buying a **** video.
