Well my engine was given a safe tune (only spun to 5000 rpm - motor had 200 miles on it) will bring it back after I put another 500 miles for final tune. It made 595.2 RWHP on vette doctors dyno dynamics dyno. It was making 10.2 lbs. of boost @ 5000 rpm. My c6 corvette still has the stock fuel pump (with this same fuel pump I was making 622.9 RWHP @ 11 lbs boost and 6000 RPM on vette doctors old dynojet dyno with stock c6 engine and methanol inj.) I will need more fuel to spin my current set up higher. I am using mototron 60# injectors. My question is will a Kenne Bell Boost-a-Pump be enough for an expected 725-750 RWHP @ 6500? And if so should I use the 20 or 40 amp?

Also how should it be set up - controller on all the time or with boost?
Thanks for any guidance.

I got the dyno numbers by phone no sheet yet. On a dyndynamics dynometer it made low 600's torque, and high 660's hp. Hope to get the dynosheet today. Talked to the shop they said belt slip only became a problem at the top of rpm band. So torque in mid rpm was not effected by slip. I thought this combo would have made an easy 700 rwhp.
All it could make was 12#'s boost. Any thoughts?

Belt slippage can rob major power. Since you are going to be spinning the **** out the D1, the 6-rib setup is not really an option. Upgrade to an 8-rib setup. Once you do that, you should be able to make the 750 rwhp range.

Well tried to get it tuned on monday but it had to be stopped. A&A bracket and 8rib must have cured alot of belt slip, because with a similar pulley setup that I had with procharger 6 rib the boost went from 10+ @ 5000 to 14+. So Carmen at Vette Drs advised we go to 4.25 pulley from 3.85 to keep boost around 14#'s

Default final numbers on setup

Well I went for 8 Rib & A&A procharger bracket Worked great no belt slippage.
However everyone was right fuel became an issue Boost a pump ok until 5500 rpm than it went lean Vette Drs. installed A&A fuel setup - Car is too powerful. Vette Drs. dyno tuned it on a dyno dynamics dyno (known to be on the low end - I guess similar to mustang Dyno) At about 6000 RPM it started to slip on the DYNO -Vette drs said if they could get it to stop slipping maybe would have read 800 on the dyno! It made 17 lbs boost! That Dallas Performance "Big Mouth" Procharger Filter Upgrade must really work I never thought I would get more than 15lbs with the D1SCHow much rwhp do you think it will make?-dyno-758.9c.jpg

I loose fuel pressure on a 347ci with a d1, walbro, and a KB BAP @10-12 #'s of boost (5,500rpms) I'm going to dual fuel pumps when I get my next pay check. You need a good fuel system to feed a boosted 403ci. Great #'s though.

Oh yes we did go back to 3.85 pulley with larger 8" HB the 4.25" pulley cost too much boost down low.

Traction and a rear build up next!
Bot a set of 305 30 19 Toyo r888 rear and 255 35 18 r888 Front heard good things. Carmin and Dennis of Vette Drs. basically laughed at me saying traction should improve but will still be a joke. Looking to do hardened Shaft and strut brace for rear anyone hear anything about the tires of rear mods?

Not yet, I'm instaling dual fuel pumps in a month and I need to have it tuned again. First trip to the dyno I was at 15psi of fuel pressure at 5,500rpms so we never spun the engine any higher. Hopefuly this summer I can buy a 12 bolt rear and get some track times.

It's weird to see issues getting to 750 rwhp with a d-1 to me. Because i have a buddy that put down 680rwhp on a SDCE 8 rib,afr 225's, custom "small" cam from synergy in fremont, ca., no meth, single 255lph in-tank pump, p-1sc-1 procharger, with upgraded intercooler custom tubing etc. bla bla bla...
Thats through an m6, beefy custom d/s, and moser 9".

Y is it so hard to get to the 7's with a d-1. Is it the afr 225's? The car was tuned on several occasions but with the bigger head unit I would think it would be relatively simple.

I wouldn't say that the d1 has difficulty making 7's just that everything else ( fuel, belt, tune etc...) must be right to play a supporting role.
