It will be here Monday. It is going in the wife's Trail Blazer, replacing the 5.3 V8. It seems the wife blew here engine in outr 06 TB.( It is not the EXT. 4X4 though)Her words were "I don't want a race engine Scott. I just want to be able to drive my truck again".
After viewing what I could buy a new 5.3 or 6.0 for, I opted to go this route and save money believe it or not.LOL I am not building this to be a major competitor....right now anyways.
Subtlety is the word. So that being said, I am using the stock 5.3 stuff for the topend. I would LOVE to find a 224 cam for it. Nothing bigger because I don't want to buy a stall converter.So going back in, for the now, with 5.3 heads and a factory LS1 cam, and stock manifolds and exhaust, I wonder what this thing will put out RWHP wise.
I do have Texas Giant cam begging to be used though.LOL To bad it wont work with a factory stall.

What do you guys think?

I wot be racing it from a dig at the track much. The 4l65e is a turd IMHO. I want 400 plus rwhp.That is until she gets her Audi. Then I will break out the sickness.
