He's probably in the 250-260rwhp area if he just has LTs and exhaust. My old car made 267rwhp with intake and full exhaust, but I had shorties.

No matter what, without gears, he has no chance. Even with gears.......He'd need DRs for a good launch to keep up or make it an interesting race.

IMO....Op has this race smoking a cigarette, going through McD's drivethru, watching a movie on this in dash DVD.

I mean serious **** talk. This is the same guy claiming 307hp/377tq at the wheels in a barely modded 04GT. Can't seem to come up with his dyno sheet though...

Personally I think new edge GT mustangs and cobras both look a **** ton better than 4th gen camaros or new GTOs and would likely drive one over either of those...but I also would know better than run my mouth.

I just think it's funny how some of them are so disillusioned that even if you show them up "something is wrong with the car", or "you own a factory freak and normally X car can't beat me", and all the other ricer excuses. Sure this happens with everyone but in my area the mustang boys are the worse. Those and the Dodge Ram jackasses but we won't even go there.
I was just toyin' with you. I know what you mean. It does go along with any car enthusiast. IMO, it seems worse with stangs, because there are more of them. That isnt' a dig on Gm's, just that you can pick them up cheaper with a geritage of 'mustang'. To the ignorant 'new to performance' type people, that's all that matters. They'll learn though.

As for your friend, again, if he put down that much......there was a bottle strapped. NO WAY is 377TQ coming out of a 2V with that low of Hp and those mods. Not a chance in hell. He'd have to have intake/cam work done to have a nice TQ rating, and if that was the case, he's have higher HP.

I still wouldn't worry a ton so long as you can drive well...if nothing else empty the spare/jack/tools/ ect and race with less than 1/2 tank of gas (so long as this doesn't make you have traction issues)

just have some fun, if he happens to beat you get an ls6 intake and a tune (if u don't already have a good tune for the headers)

I got rid of my mullet before I joined the Army. LOL. I've been pretty busy. Retiring, went to Germany, dealing with the VA, looking for a job and spending time with my sons. I start my new job next Tuesday so I'll have to get used to the old grind again. Can't complain though its a pretty sweet job, Inspecting contracted maintenance for the Army. I basically check a percentage of the work they perform and ensure its done correctly and then provide feedback to them and the Army.

It's gonna take bolt-ons, 4.10s, and drag radials for a 2V GT to think about running high 12s. So I think you're gonna be fine.

I just did some research and it looks like his best time ran was a 13.4 ET at Indianpolis raceway park.

Allright, I will try and stay away from the 13 second stang. I haven't had my car to the track but I would imagine it would run mid/low 12's.
