A full bolt-on/stalled/cammed Mustang GT could run a 12.4 no problem.

I'll definitely concede that 4.10s are better (and 4.30s even more so), but I wouldn't say that 3.73s "suck." They're certainly better than the stock 3.27s. And actually the Bullits were realistically 10-15hp stronger than the GTs (hence the updated 270hp rating), with the ability to port the intake as well.

Just because 4.10s are better, doesnt' mean 3.73s suck. And since when was HP the only thing that matters in drag racing?
try looking at the TQ.

Seriously, some of you need to venture out of your bowtie world.

Im not brand sensitive and have spent plenty of time on the corral,svtperformance,etc but thaks for the advice. IMO 410's stink also, driven plenty of na 2v and 4v valves and it still isnt enough gear.. I would start at 430's.

I didn't realize that it took Mach 1s and N/A Cobras a blower to keep up with LS1 F-bodies. Considering Mach 1s basically equal F-body ETs stock vs. stock, and the 96-98 Cobras need only a good rear gear to keep up. Apparently 4.30s are a supercharger now .

LOL! I never had any problem keeping up without a blower. Now that I have one, I just leave a map at the starting line so the opposition knows where to find me as they lose sight of my tail lights.

AAAAHHHHHHAHAH...dude, seriously, IDK about you. ONe second I think you are somewhat knowledgable. The next, I would guess you've never seen a mustang before you are so far off.

Stick to fbods. There is enough ignorance with the young stang owners. They don't need any help.

I'm always down for a good run. Win or lose doesn't matter to me. I've been humbled by a few stangs. I haven't been beaten in this TA just because I haven't ran into a fast Stang yet. Its bound to happen though. I'm just a minnow in a shark tank and I know that. I will begin work on my answer to that sharks soon. Get you another car and we'll at least compare some time slips if we can't get a real run in.

I didn't realize this whole thread wasn't refering to a bullit car..

...a car that's NOT a 4v cobra/mach1

I had already posted twice in response to the topic at hand. The post of mine that you quoted was in direct response to this;

He didn't say "Bullitts can't keep up without a supercharger," or "2V GTs can keep up without a supercharger." He posted up the general F-body fanboi "Mustangs need blowers to keep up" crap. Which of course is untrue, and I responded accordingly.

Yep....we'll have to do that...but I have NO DOUBT it'll be a while before I can even consider coming close to you. As it sits now, I'm probably looking at the beginning of next year and it'll most likely be 96-98 cobra cause i really don't want another car payment....unless I can put a heavy chunk down on a mach and keep the payment low.
