Default 2002 Z28 vs 03 Evo VIII

Ok so one of my buddies likes to inflate his hp quite a bit and thinks that he can beat me. His car is a 03 Evo full bolt ons and cammed. The most hp I've seen one put out on a stock turbo is 375 whp. He likes to claim he's got 400+ whp. My car is an 02 Z28 with a catback and intake. I've got a nitrous kit that is going on this weekend and I'm going to be spraying a 100 shot. So my question is how hard do you think I will walk away from him? Also how hard will he walk away from me on his R6? Final question anybody got an hp guesstimate for what I will be putting down on spray?

I was a VERY close run from a roll against my buddy with his catback, lid, 125 shot LS1 Z28, so you should be running roughly what I do. That said, here are the links to my two different runs with this guy I know that has an 03 Evo with the same setup as your buddy.

Make sure you read both of them because the second meeting I had all my shifting issues sorted out plus ran solo (clutch issues and passenger in first encounter), plus he gained a little more hp after a few tweaks. No reason your results shouldn't be similar to mine based on what you said. All mods and dyno numbers for both cars listed in threads.

ALSO, are you an A4 or M6? What gearing? If you're going from a dig and he can drive, you'll be in trouble. If from a roll, it should be a REALLY good race if you can both drive.

from a roll I've seen a bolton/cammed evo beat by a 330rwhp lt1/m6 third gen camaro by a couple cars, then he started spraying a small shot (75hp or so) and they were running closer

from a dig it wouldn't be pretty though

I use to own an 8 and I wouldn't count him out. I think you will beat him given ya'll go from a roll. Its the 9's you really have to worry about. I have been killed by a few of them. (pre turbo) but I know a guy who had an 8 with cams and a tune that made over 400 and was fast .. with a turbo and injectors he made over 520awhp ..
