Default sr20 2.2 stroker?

so theres this guy i work with whos building a sr20 2.2 stroker for his 240sx does anybody have any experience with them? Power potential? enough to take out a H/C LS1? I can't remember how much boost he said he was gonna run-i think he said he was gonna stick with the stock turbo. so thoughts? comments?

Stock turbo on a stroked motor? That stock turbo ******* sucks....he is wasting his money, or just really building it for the future. Stock turbo, maybe high 200s, mid 300s at the most. Stock is like 200 out of the sr20. Full bolt on tuned is like 250 ish, maybe up to 300 or so.

maxing out his stock turbo he's probably looking at around a low 13 - high 12... not even close to what a H/C LS1 should be doing. my buddy has one running 15ish psi on his stock turbo, and hes at about a mid-high 13 seconds right now

Interesting lol, I was wondering the same thing-I asked why he wasnt upgrading the turbo an I think he said the stock one was good for 20 psi? This will be interesting to see when its done-granted his car is pretty light i think like 25-2600lbs? and that stroker kit he said was costing him 4 grand.

Agreed with Stopsign. If he was running a 35r or 30r turbo, that thing would be a ******* beast. I thought the stock turbo lost its efficiency at like 14 lbs something. 20 lbs on that turbo wont really do ****. He needs to look at a better set up especially for that stroker kit.

My friends know 240s like I know Mustangs so if you want to know some REAL answers then I can ask them. They are more into handling and I will say I have never been in a car that handles like those cars. At the track they can't get their cars off the line because they have stiff suspension and they don't usually drag race unless I talk them into going but if I could get some runs in driving their cars they would be 12 second cars, both of them. And they are just exhaust, boost controler, intake, intercoolers on a stock SR20 motor. Throw a stroker at them and a bigger turbo....you are looking at a 120+mph car easily.

Could be. Those stock t25s suck for the most part. Yea, they can be in the 12s, but anything faster will need better turbos.

lol sometimes i think he is a moron-He's got a stock sr20 in his 240 now an thinks its the fastest thing on the planet. His so called kill stories just make me roll my eyes, He's claimed to have killed an SS Camaro, an SVT Mustang (i dont know what year) and a 5 series BMW by driving on the shoulder of the road haha. He's told everyone in the platoon he could take my car no problem. He says he hates big wings an body kits but his driving style is very ricer in my eyes. Guess we'll just have to wait an see
