I'm trying to guess about how much power I'm making to the crank. I have a '00 TA WS6 and mods are as follows:

K&N filter, mti clear air lid, Hooker lt's, ory, electronic cutout, and slp dual dual catback. The previous owner says it also has a performance chip and upgraded pulleys, but idk.

I wanna know how much power i should have before a tune, and maybe after.

 

no such thing as a performance chip for these cars.

 

right around 350 + - horse power to the wheels. It all depends on the dyno however.

 

so about 400hp total? that's about what i'm aiming for. I have almost the same mods as him. Sorry for the thread hijack btw.

The motor itself will probably make around 400hp yes. The car will probably put down around 350 hp to the wheels.

My car made 333hp to the wheels with a lid and cat back. Some consider it to be a very strong running motor as most dyno around 315hp to the wheels. If you account for 15% drivetrain loss I am guessing my motor is putting out about 375hp.

a car making 350hp to the wheels ( your car ) probably has around 400hp at the motor/crank.

 

Hey, as long as I can beat my friend in his bone stock '05 GTO, I'll be happy. (we're both autos. lol)

 

what mods are done to the 05 GTO ? Right now you should be able to take him stock. If he has mods it might be a different story.

 

He's 100% bone stock other than 20" chrome wheels.

 

I am condfident that you will take him. Go race him and come back to tell us about it.
