haha. I have no choice. They are EVERYWHERE where I live. I run into them all the time. Kids are just sooo stupid. There is one car that really pisses me off in my town. This early 90's escort that is light blue with white flames and a huge wing. It has a fart can-esque twin exaust system and is slooooow as ****. Ive seen the guy trying to take off. My jetta could beat him. Thats pretty freakin pathetic.

that is sad man... i have always (in the deepest recesses of the sickest part of my mind) wanted to get an escort wagon early 90s style and find a totaled cossworth escort and do a drive train swap. it would be sick fast and look like nothing at all.
i hate to say it but in my townthere are tones of brainless ricers but luckley you run into some choice 70s muscle cars and other nice rides that redeem the area. i just hate when you fine an really nice hot rod or muscle car and they guy sez he dosent know much about the car and wrote a check for it
thats usualy when i instently stop talking to them turn around and walk away.

Yeah that does suck. Though it was cool when my friend brought his fathers 69' camaro to school. Has a 454 in it. Sounds sooo sick. You had to scream so the person next to you could hear you. Though he was having problems with the car, so he wouldnt do a burnout or nothing. Oh well.

The only imports that concern me are supras, rx7s, and awd imports(sti, wrx, evo, and eclipse/talon). And they would have to be modded heavily to worry me. All the fwd cars won't have a chance.

look out for 4 door civics that look stock but are running slicks, especially if they want to race you really really badly, anybody that ownes an import to really make it go fast will NOT make it look all riced out, and if they did want to race you they would also be educated enough on the ls1's so feed um some bull at first to see if they know what there talkin about...... also, if you visit your local track you will see if there is any really fast imports, otherwise any other dooper with 500 stickers runs in the 10's.... lol

I was at the track about a month ago. There where some Honda Civic's running 8.1X 1/8 mile times and that was what my car was running with some bolt-ons. The fastest one looked like ****. The front bumper was missing and the paint was bad. But on the street he could probably take me if I didn't launch just right. I am sure that I could walk him down but, ricers like to race until they are ahead of you and then quit and say that they won the race. I guess there isn't really any way to tell what you are going to run into. Just race for fun unless your **** is built.

I got another question. From a standstill, say at a redlight, how do you suggest taking off when it turns green? I heard punch it after a slight roll but wouldnt that lose you a second or two and able them to pull a car length on you? Just let me know on how you all race from a standstill and from a say 20-30 mph roll, im kinda new to street racing but im itchin to get out there and do my thing.

Most of them think that since the it's a V6 it's "lighter" so they will perform the same as the V8.
I've been told on countless times by them not to race their buddy cause he beat a firebird the other day. Then when I race him and win they're like, "dude you musta put on some mad mods cause he beat that 3.4L firebird bad and you put like 10+ car lengths on him." It's priceless they don't seem to catch on. I think a few of them have figured it out now but some of them still don't understand. But yea if you run into something that looks like an import but sounds like an LT1 don't race it, except maybe for fun.

In a auto I would roll into it gradually. Take about a second to a second and a half to get it to the floor. You might not have the best 60 foot time but they won't jump a bunch of car lengths on you. The tires will be cold and most of the time you don't have time for a burn-out.
