i have a 2000 camaro ls1 2200 stall 1-2 shift kit 373 gears and couple more small mods and my uncle just bought a (i think its 2006) boxster v6. he keeps going on how it will spank my camaro and of coursei tell him i dont think so. am i right cuz some of the videos that i have seen tell a diff story. but of course i dont what those cars have done to them. anybody no what the outcome would be. also can anybody give me some stats on both cars. 0-60,1/4 mile times,1/8 mile time, etc. thanks in advance buds.

Thats something more suited for a slightly modded v6 camaro/firebird to race not an ls1. I couldnt find quarter mile times but if I were to guess its probably mid high 14's.

 

you'll beat him. if its a type s it will be slightly closer, but you'll still beat him. boxsters don't deserve the porsche name

unless you go through some curves, he wont be a problem at all. That flat six in them does pretty well for what it is. I beat up on one pretty bad with my bolt on lt1, my buddy was with me and we couldn't stop laughing at the fact that the kinda hot blonde was pissed and was flipping us off as we passed her. Your uncle doesn't stand a chance.

This cant be a serious thread.. lol Dude boxters are ******* slow, they're like s200s only slower.. STOCK you would kill him, rather then modded.

 

You're talking about a low-mid 14s car here... you should have no problem at all.

 

Boxters race at the road races and not the drag strip for a reason.... at the strip you would kill him, at the autocross he would make you look worse then how you will make him look at the strip....

 

And I disagree with the assessment that the Boxster isn't a true Porsche, btw.

 

Agreed.... It has a flat six just like the 911..... pretty much a mini me 911....

 

It very much is along the same lines as the 550 Spyder... nothing wrong with that.

 

You should win I raced one from a dig with bald street tires and he got me off the line but when I hit 2nd and 3rd he was behind

 

Boxster S 1/4 mile- about 14 flat
Boxster 1/4 mile- mid 14's
you have nothing to worry about. You will crush him easily

 

Better hope he's not lying to you about the year. If its the 09 with PDK and S they run 12.60's all day at 110. If it happens to have and I highly doubt, the 3.6 l, with X51 on the 06 then good luck.

 

With you being modded theres just no way in hell that car would beat you lol.
