Considering the airfoil is good for probaly 2-3rwhp, he is right about the stock MAF being better. The stock MAF is one thing I do not recommending changing out for aftermarket piece.

The aftermarket MAF do not attempt to make more power by being freer flowing, they attempt to manipulate WOT fueling by missreporting airflow to lean out the overly rich stock programming.
Right way to do this is to lean out the programming.

The stock MAF is fine for all but the baddest NA motors.
