3.90s are 9 inch gears. The 12 bolt comes with 3.73s or 4.10s. Good choice of cam for a street car. Go easy on the 10 bolt. You MIGHT need to get a quick retune after you change the rearend.

Why so small on the cam? Your not gonna see 80rwhp from that cam. Probably more around half that.

Ring and Pinion: http://completeoffroad.com/i-123045-...-pass-car.html. The cam is so small b/c I dont want to kill my MPG (remember 3 miles both ways to and from college), and I really dont need a huge *****' Thumpr' or somethin, just a few more HP is all I want (I expect 50+ HP and TQ, but we'll see once she's on the dyno).

3 miles? You cant be serious, you make it seem like thats a looooooong way. With the car in my sig I go about 90% city driving and get 10mpg, but I have a short drive to work

If I have the car tuned after a cam and mild head work, and a few bolt ons, he said performance gains of 125 were possible! I can't wait, I've got an order in on the lopier thunder cam, the step up from the 'old man cam' and found an ls6 intake on ebay new with bigger injectors, so that should tide me over until Christmas . If I really do gain 125 horses thats mid-400 range and I should be able to beat that 2010 SS if she hooks up good (no wheel hop).

theres a guy that tunes for our local f body club..he uses hp tuner..and hes the best in nc and the surrounding states..he may be able to take a shipped pcm and tune it

check out triadfbodys.com and look for sulski performance..if im not mistaking its 225 for members..we got members all diff states that are members just to get a discount on his tuning! check him out man!

gl on the build to!

Your cars stock would do good to kill a new V6 Mustang. Is that what you guys are talking about?

To the OPer since you are 19 I would advise to learn the car, take your time, and then later put power to it. I know, we all think we are a badass driver at 19 but you're not. Get used to the car and take it step by step. Don't get your license taken away by street racing everything you see and don't wreck your nice car. Good luck man! See you out on the streets.

thats probably the best damn advice given so far..and comin from the blue oval side!

but i agree 100%..if this is your first true horespower car..not some damn lil ricer car..then learn it first..when i was 16 and given the keys to my 1980 camaro(im 19 now =p) two months after gettin it i was in a ditch..but cause my brakes locked up..not to mention i was goin 70 in a 45.

do lil stuff..learn it..then build the hell out of it =)

like i said..gl on the build and see ya on the tarmac some where

I might be blue oval but I still don't want to see a nice muscle car wrecked because someone is under skilled and over confident.

I remember a post on SVT Performance where a 17 year old had a 03 Cobra. He was driving and went to pass someone on a double yellow going up and over a hill. He thought he had enough power and ended up hitting someone head on and killed himself and someone else I think.

Thanks for all the info guys! Its been a big help. I dont plan on racing too much. I never go looking for races, just like to put a few ricers in check. I just got a vinyl decal for the rear window that says: "EATING RICE BUILDS MUSCLE" so I have a feeling I might be getting some polite nods I really dont race, especially now in the winter. Ill have to check out that tuning place. I just picked up a set of rear Blizzak snow tires on craigslist for $175 (brand new with stickers), so I should be set for traction this year in the snow. It's gonna be hard with that racing clutch the last owner put in though. Thanks!

Thats kinda gay man and shows ignorance. Best part is it can get your car keyed real nicely, windows broken, or tires slashed by an Import owner that has your maturity level. Be cool man, no need for hating.

To beat a Mustang you need to find a Yugo, put premium gas in it and miss third, twice. They will be bus lengths behind you. Good luck. The advice that stopsign gave was probably the best so far.
