Dig racing or Roll racing???
I want you guys opinon on this.cause i was told the other night by a guy i know thats all about some hondas (cause domestic cars suck in his and his honda friends opinons.this is also after i had just got done racing his buddys gutted out k20 hatch in my nova beating it by about a bus length and then some) that racing from a dig or actually "drag racing" like at the track dosent count when a domestic car beats the hell out of a import.so they informed me that me beating his car wasnt a real race.what do yall think about this?is racing from a roll more of a race or going from a dig more of a race?k20 hatches are supposed to be the greatest thing since sliced bread.his car had never been beat from waht they said.

Eh typical ricer excuse. "oo you didn't beat be, because I have a 800hp FWD car so we need to do 150mph roll starts for a real race..." His fault he decided to modify a FWD car lol. I'm not against roll races, honestly I like them, but to call a dig race not a real race is retarded.

I personally love doing both. If I was going for all out bragging rights and not just for fun then I'd say take it to a track so everything is timed and you can tell if someone redlights. Last I knew they don't have roll racing tracks so...

Dig racing depends mostly on tires
Its sucks when you have reguler street tires like me and someone has huge drag radials or some slicks...major advantage
If the cars are equaly mathced I like seeing DIG , but personaly I do alot of roll runs ...
(plus theres no track in CT )

Well this race was setup and we drove out to the spot we run at to do it.my car is a stalled auto car.we both was on street tires and both of was dead even through first until i hooked after i got in second gear then i instantly put a good 5-6 cars on him through second and maybe another car length through 3rd.I think we all on here build our cars for them same purpouse.to go fast as we can get them to go in the least amount of time as possible...idk what the hell they build there cars for but it sure inst that i guess???

Dig racing is great if you have a nice prepped street and plenty of time to do burnouts etc. That's not really practical around here so most stuff is from a slow roll. We also don't have giant highways so we don't do 60-150 like some places. All depends on the environment.
Typical from here is a 15-20 roll to about 100-120. You can usually tell by then who is going to win.
I like from a dig on a track, we just don't have streets that will hook

You racing cars or are you racing Car/Drivers/Traction
If you wanna know who is the faster car run from a Roll. If you want to know who is better at doing all 3 at the same time, Run from a dig.
Where I am from NO ONE runs from a dig. Its too expensive when you break parts also the roads are not prepped at all and when the avg person makes over 500WHP a) there will be A LOT of broken parts and b) Racing 500-1000WHP cars on the street from a dig on some un prepped **** *** back road isn't the brightest idea and last the nearest track is over 60 miles away one way.

Dig runs blacktop, concrete who cares. The guy next to you is on the same surface lets see who's car works. I've busted many an *** on the street by knowing what the car will take from my right foot and knowing more importantly when I can put my foot on the firewall. Roll race changes the dynamic of a race alot more than most people think.

Well the place we go is a divided four lane highway.its got alot of long straight streches and is very smooth.its all farm land it runs through so it isnt heavily traveled especially at night...ive saw his car at the track and i know what he traps and its consistent.my car is over half a second faster than his so i know whos car is faster.

Roll Racing is a totally different ball game.

I've done both but very much prefer a a dig even when iwas stock cause you hang every aspect out there with the drivers and the cars. Roll racing is more of putting car against car and yes i've been beat in a roll that i later killed from a dig. But when was the last time you went to your local track and they let you do a 20 roll to the tree and go?
