Kevin - if you can only afford $3k I wouldnt' do it. If you want to keep it around there and can spend $5k then ok....but if you're on a strict budget, I would advise holding off. Also, I have a hard time believing everything needed for FI'ing a 2V has been done for 1500. The tune ALONE is $500 typically.

yeah...HCI on a 2V...=less power and more $$ spent.

You know that people see a used Procharger kit for $1,500 and they think that's all it will cost. Forget about fuel mods, a clutch, a tune, tires, exhaust, etc, etc, etc. Wen you increase power, you tend to find the weak points elsewhere...which means **** breaks.

My suggestion would be to see the Mustang and use that $3K you have
laying around to buy a LS1...best bang for the buck performance if you have less than $10K to spend.

Yep. Even Used P1sc's are hard to come by at 1500 sometimes.

No race car here. The point is for the money you spend on a 2V trying to eek out 320 with heads and cam and bolt ons, its not worth it. You don't need to come in here all self rightous when you missed the point of the comments. Throw some boost at it and it will make decent power.

its gonna make 400wheel at best. Plus its a stock bottom end car and has a plastic intake. I dnt recomend forced induction plus he gonna spend way more than 3k on a blower and tunning and fuel upgrades.

Forsure on that, 3k isnt alot to do forced induction with. I found out guy I knew threw a rod at 365rwhp on his on the dyno at 7-8psi, may have been one of those freak things but anything can happen...

Car is getting a FI 4 valve swap now, I might can see what he'd sell his old setup for also Kevin.

ok what about this for a solution, use the 3k he has to get as many parts together for his FI setup, if its not enough, get what you can and wait for the next chunk of change to come along, if you have the self control. thats what i did for my 408 setup, i got the parts all together and saved for the money to have a shop do the labor, now my engines built and being dropped in, should be ready next week.

Now you know why the statement about heads and cam not being worth it comes from. It is going to cost about the same to do either one.
